Duties are split between database design and database maintenance, backup/recovery tasks and production support. Gathers business requirements for logical and/or physical database design. Performs design activities with guidance. With some guidance and the use of tools, completes moderately complex testing, maintenance and monitoring tasks; works on software installations. Supports senior staff in data integrity and recovery activities. Participates in projects, usually in a coordinator or support role. Secondary Role Deliverables: Administration of the Microsoft SharePoint 2007 Portal. Skills: DBA with MS SQL Server experience to be involved with Data Warehousing environments Candidate should have comprehensive background with physical DBA support MS SQL Server 2005 skill must include: Installation/Up gradation of the database software, backup and recovery of the SQL Server database, performance tuning, migration, configuration and security administration Knowledge of Microsoft Share Point 2007 is an added advantage.
