I just wanted to say THANK YOU to who ever it was that thought of putting this site together and whoever did all the work to compile the information about the AE-1. I recently had my Nikon equipment stolen and had to use a friends Canon on short notice. Of course, it had no istruction manual, being the AE-1 and ancient and I was very worried until I found your site and learned everything I needed to know! Thank you so much. I am considering buying a new EOS 3 body in Bangkok, Thailand but the new ones in the shop do NOT come with the standard Canon 12 month warranty. The prices here are better than in Australia but I don't know if I will take a chance. I speak english and no thai so there is a language barrier. Can anyone tell me why the pro gear doesn't come with a warranty. Is it because there is no distributor in Thailand? I was in Vietnam also and it is the same there.... This is a great reference site, thanks very much to all those who contributed to it.
