Wat Rakang Kositharam locates at the right hand side, opposite Ta Chang Pier. Most Bangkok Taxi driver will reluctantly send you there but the easiest (cheapest) way is to cross Chao Pra Ya river via Ta Chang Pier (through the market behind Wat Phu) to Wat Anun and take a Tuk Tuk or Taxi as it is just situated at the right hand side (view from the Pier) in a Soi (alley) at Thonburi. Wat Rakang ("Bell Temple") was where the late legendary Thai Monk, Phra Bhudhacharn(Toh) Promrangsi as well as Luong Phor Nark (Nak) practiced their disciplinary Buddhist code of living. The wearable Buddhist amulets produced, famed for assisting the host in business prosperity and protection are collectible pieces by followers today (it was ranked first among the top five original local images in Thailand). The temple is usually packed with devotees; the interior with the main hall are decorated with roof supports with a strong sense of elegance of history, the walls painted with frescoes (in many ways, it shares many similarities with the preserved old temple of Wat Keschaiyo as the late Abbot used to serve at that temple at Anthong as well). Another section has a three-segments library restored by the Association of Siamese Architects as well as under supervision of the local Buddhist Association Legend said King Rama I used to lived there before he was installed on the throne.
