Yong Chien Chin was born in 1952 in Klang, Selangor. He obtained Post-Diploma in Fine Art from Malaysian Institute of Art. He is Committee member of Selangor / KualaLumpur Shui-Mo Art Society and Malaysian Lin-Nan Art Society. He held various solo and joint exhibitions since 1981 in Malaysia, Canada, Korea and Taiwan.
The Solo Exhibition in 1995 Malaysia, showing a series of works on "Terracotta Warriors"and "Legend of The Stones" has been very well received and won much acclaim. His works are collected extensively by art museums and art lovers in Malaysia, Canada, Korea, China and etc. His works also featured in "Directory of international Chinese Artists Representative Works" and "Collections of Works of 35 Malaysian Chinese Artists ".
