Home Page for Michael Liu
Facing insomnia? Here's a little more information about me. No, I'm not the Mike Liu of Skankin' Pickle, but I do enjoy ska. Currently, I'm working for Prof. A.A. Sonin in the fluid mechanics lab at MIT. This time, I'm the graduate student, so I have more stuff to do. That still doesn't mean that I'm always prompt about it.
Very heavily under construction. Check back again in ... months ...
This is my first year as a graduate student. I just completed four years at Berkeley. While I was there, I worked for Prof. Kazerooni in the Mechanical Engineering Department, and Prof. Peterson in the Nuclear Engineering Department. More realistically, I was working for their respective graduate students: Alexander Ko and Matthieu Longeot. The last I heard of Alex, he was at Applied Materials in Santa Clara, California, and as far as I know, Matthieu is well on his way to earning his Ph.D.
If you have lots of free time to kill, and are interested in photography, may I suggest photo.net, which is written by someone I've never actually met and yet seems a lot more real than being in graduate school. The way that the web is growing, I'm not going to have much time to keep up with more than that link on photography. On the other hand, if you don't want to spend a lot of time reading about photography and don't mind being bored, you can check out my effort at a photography page.

You are visitor number ... hey, does it really matter? Thanks for dropping by! This site optimized for most browsers, but mostly for Lynx, a neat little text-only browser for Unix and Linux.
New and very cool is the Loquacious comment server that has been added to some of the pages.
Hey, the personal pages are finally complete! Now learn more about me in gory detail, and judge for yourself how self-centered I can be.
A lot of people (yes, I exaggerate, too) come here for either the F and F2 pages, which I am in the process of updating, revising, and expanding, but have not quite yet completed. There are some of you who are looking for medium format press camera information.
Comments, questions, and concerns should be routed to email@example.com
