My obligatory page to Nikonland
Vaguely like Disneyland, only less so ...
I recommend that you first check out Dr. Pietsch's Page of Nikon links. He has collected information about all of the current bodies and lenses, as well as links to Nikon sites all over the world. The server at this site is pretty slow, though.
A good alternative to Dr. Pietsch's page is Mike McLennan's page which is billed as "arguably the most extensive set of Nikon links on the web" (and it is quite impressive). His server is fast, too. If you are not fond of (or can't use) frames, you might as well go to his links page.
Nikon has two corporate websites in existence -- I would recommend going to Nikon USA first, as this site is far more informative than the first Nikon site, based in Japan. The difference is like reading the full-line catalog in your local photo shop and reading a brochure, or even a magazine ad. Both of them require Netscape 2.0 or better.
If you have questions, the Nikon FAQ is for you. It's being maintained by Bo-Ming Tong.
All the information you ever wanted to know might be found at the Nikon Mailing List archives although you would have to wade through a lot of stuff to get there. On the other hand, if you don't get enough of an information fix from the 35mm usenet group, you can always subscribe to the Nikon Mailing List.
So maybe you came to this page and aren't terribly interested in all of that. I would recommend checking out Bengt Hallinger's page of photographic resources. And if you don't find what you're looking for there, you might want to check out the mighty altavista search engine.
Still to come, maybe, if I ever get around to it, would be my own page regarding the F and F2. That's going to happen when I get some more free time ...
Take me back to Mike's home page
