For sale to a good home: F1n body, motor drive FN and Hi-Speed MD FD with nicad pack and charger, FD lenses (17mm all the way up to 800mm mirror including 300 f2.8L and f4, plus 85mm f1.2L), finders (AE and Speed Finder) and accessories for collectors/active photographers. I have an extra focusing screen for the F1n as well as a T-90 with matching 300 series flash - all excellent condition.
Serious inquiries only please. Will consider trades for other Canon gear (but not for shares of your rich uncle's diamond mine in Kenya, thanks anyway).
cheers
Sandi

I just got one of my dream cameras, a 1980 Lake Placid F1n, the camera is in incredible condition except, the EE slot door is broken and was covered with a piece of electric tape. If anyone has a parts camera or the door, I would like to buy them so I can return my F1 to it's original condition.6. From : Alex (ankuriatnyk@gmail.com)

I realize my question is about the New Canon F1, not the original F1 but I see that other people have discussed the newer camera here and I hope someone can help me.
I have a New Canon F1 that I have had since new but, being almost exclusively a large format photographer, I rarely use it or my T90. About ten years ago, I noticed that my Hi-Power NiCd Battery Pack FN was weak so I took it to International Camera in Chicago to have it re-celled. Unfortunately, I think they goofed because, after getting it back, it would only fire the camera at about 2-3 frames per second and the charger light would never go off as it should when the pack is fully charged. I picked up a Battery Pack FN about that time so I would always be able to use the motordrive even if I couldn't get my NiCd pack re-celled.
Anyway, I have just learned that Batteries Plus can probably re-cell my Hi-Powered NiCd pack. I'm going to take it to them but I want to make sure that the right batteries are used this time. I'm concerned that if they remove the batteries that International Camera put in the pack and replace them with the same type of battery, I will be right back where I started from. Apparently, the Hi-Power pack uses more powerful batteries because it will run more rolls of film and will also function at colder temperatures. So I would like to be able to tell Batteries Plus what the specs are for the proper batteries that should be installed in the pack. Does anyone know that the difference is between the NiCd Battery Pack FN batteries and those used in the Hi-Powered NiCd Battery Pack FN? Or, in other words, what type of batteries should I tell Batteries Pluse must be installed to get the pack up to proper specs.
