Woo .... I like this one - it was just a tree that provides shade for my car.
Pokok Melaka as we called it in Malaysia where many local believes the prosperous ancient state of Melaka a few centuries ago in Peninsular Malaya was named after, it has a scientific name called 'Phyllanthus Emblica' ('amlaka' or 'amalaka' in native Indian language which means 'sour'). Some studies traced the plant's origin and it was widely accepted as a fact that it was brought in from India where generally it is still widely used as natural herbs for medication over there but our locals only used them as appetizer). It has never been my favorite fruit (too sour for my aged, worn-out stomach wall).
Here, only a sole fruit left after a heavy rainstorm the night before..
