"My strength lies in being a photographer, thus able to analyse the component pictures which need to be taken. The ability to visualise the end result also helps in anticipating the technical contribution required.

Imaging can be divided broadly into retouching (the correction of unavoidable errors in shooting) and photo composites (the cut and paste job which replaces traditional darkroom skills). Both require source pictures. Another area is creating effects and images in the computer without source pictures. Here is where I found new usage of my gray matter (brain!) which brought pleasant surprises to many art directors. I contribute creatively both as a photographer and digital artist to accomplish this.

My new skills have not only opened a new concept in my personal image creation but a whole new world where an image maker is no longer bound by just a singular discipline. Creativity is enhanced through the marriage of multiple disciplines brought together by today's
digital technology."
