Abandoned traditional Finnish wooden rowboat partly filled with fallen leaves and frozen water topped with some flakes of snow seemed to suit the mood of autumn and foggy weather very well.

It was one of the first morning with temperature below freezing in the autumn 2000. There were practically no wind at all and open water was generating very thick fog. I decided to try to capture some foggy views. As I had tripod with me so I could really consentrate on framing photos as well as I could. Very low saturation partly due to fog and frost looks somewhat different as most photos people see are either highly saturated or b&w.

Photo was taken in Oulu, Finland, where I live, with Sigma 70-210mm
f/2.8 APO lens and slide film.
