"This
was shot during Kelly Chen's first ever visit -cum-album-promotion to Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia in 1996. Fujifilm Malaysia had provided me with several rolls of their 2nd-generation
Fujicolor Reala color negative film (now in the market is the 3rd-generation version
known as Fujicolor Superia Reala) . I decided that Kelly would made a good subject
to test out the Reala's claimed superior quality over any other ISO 100 color negative
film.
Kelly
was seated in a shaded area when this picture was shot. It was helped a bit with
reflected sunlight which bounced off the floor in front of her, hence the slight
magenta cast evident in this picture. Those bounced sunlight can be seen in the reflections
on her eyes. No fill-in flash was used. The warmer appearance of the picture was
also enhanced by her orange blouse." - Philip Chong
