Cityvine Riverside

- Finale for a soft introduction but it is just the beginning - as Sibu will always be on the move from HERE -

MIR (Malaysian Internet Resources) is highly regarded by those in the know. Although we have adjusted our course of directions, we still maintain a high standard of quality work. In the process, we have created an internal image library; images that are readily available for all our web designers to use when it's related to their creative web assignments. A decently presentable website should make use of quality photographs to improve the presentation. Nowadays, quality web presentation is synonymous to good corporate image.

And you are probably wondering if you can use these pictures. Answer is, yes. You are allowed to use these pictures for public travel references, personal correspondence and/or promoting Malaysian's landmarks and architectural heritage (albeit terms of use still apply). The idea was inspired by our recent Photo Showcase on Perdana Leadership Foundation (Yayasan Kepimpinan Perdana & KLCC Showcase). At the same time, we are also trying to explore viable potential with a number of local corporations on viable development of websites. The pictures taken from this trip are creatively used to enhance the visual presentation of some of our projects. | Our Business Contacts | Thank you.

Some of the very well performed (financially) corporate Companies listed on the Bursa Malaysia currently originated from Sibu, Sarawak. Most are on my desire list that I wish to explore any form of a potential business establishment with them...hehe .. Our sister company, FFCM (www.ffcm.com.my), actually designs and prints annual reports for some of the above corporations. Since Internet has come to age, it's time for the big players to have an online presence of their own. A website can compensate on the lack of interactivity and supplement existing media strategies. Not to mention our Malaysian investors, buyers, sellers, retailers, and even customers are ready. Perhaps, our creative team can propose an online branding strategy?

- The Last Act -

All in all, I must stress that the purpose of creating a Sibu photo gallery is to let other talented local photographers explore the commercial viability of their works. As we have emphasized on other similar galleries, there is no hidden agenda - except for creating some joy out of works. Part of the idea behind these gallery is to expand our image collection in www.Images.com.my, while the other half is share some of our panaromic vision on certain subjects that interest us.

CAN this site GROW or expand further in its local content ?
Yeap. I would think as far as contribution of RAW images that can be used to beef up this site, nothing is better than have them coming from the native Sibu folks. So, MIR warmly extends our invitation to local Sibu photographers to participate in this showcase. Actually, I would love to see the task be assigned to the Sibu Photographic Society. As this is more like a community section (minus the few lines of advertorial we put up earlier), we can offer a free sponsorship of these kind of effort.- Mae-V <maev@mir.com.my> 2005
