In association Time Out KL, we are proud to announce the inaugural launch of KL PHOTOAWARDS 2009 for contemporary portraiture, from 1 November 2008. Open to all international photographers, in 2 categories : Professional and Non-Professional, we invite you to submit up to 6 images. Top prize USD3,000 plus a commissioned trophy. This is an opportunity to challenge your peers to a portrait shootout!

The judges are seeking a new interpretation of the much photographed genre of contemporary portraits. Deadline : 1 March 2009

Although I am getting a digital camera, I think I will still continue using film. Anyone out there who is like me in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur, PJ area, a dying species? If yes, could you advice on where is the best place to print excellent prints. Lately, I have been having trouble looking for a good film printer. Long Live film!!

Good afternoon!

I got your email address from the Photography Society of Malaysia. My name is Idzuan Othman and I am a Course Coordinator from the School of Design, KBU International College

For your information, we have a photography lab for our programmes that have photography as one of the modules. As you well know, digital photography has taken over the art of photography and in line with this, our programmes are already catering for digital photography. Here lies our predicament...we have enlargers that are now not being used.

After some discussions on what we're going to do with the enlargers, we came to an idea of selling these enlargers to Photographic Clubs or Societies that are interested. If not, we can also donate these enlargers.
