There are a few reference books published in Thai that provide excellent references:
I cannot read Thai but I guess it must be listing the author or publisher's name and/or address, hope you can find one fo this through the bookstore..This was recommended by Uncle Wichien simply because it outlined records of some very rare pieces of amulets by the few Gurus such as Phra Bhudhacharn(Toh), LP Sod, LP Nark etc. others info include: LP Nergn, Khun Paen etc. from Pigit and Ayuthaya. For instance, it shown a collection of few evolving forms of Soomdej images blessed by Dtoh that were not made specifically for Wat Rakang but (possibly for other temples). See below for a few examples of the amulets that recovered from a collapsed sleeping Buddha, inside rested with some rare pieces that (according to the author) were traced and confirmed from old records unseen "works" of Bhudhacharn Toh from Wat Rakang, Bangkok (Among all, 8 evolving forms are Soomdej design).
As the book contains many other interesting information (including MANY other rare forms of amulets previously not known to collectors, so, it worth every penny that you spend on it. Well, I don't feel very comfortable to duplicate others intellectual properties on the web and I am showing you a few here simply because I think you SHOULD buy this book on your own instead (By reccomendation, just trade off for using some of the images in the book). Note: One of these - fourth from the 2nd row is shown at Wichien Collection of Soomdej. I think he has another one (third from the 2nd row). Further, Col. Samay's Khun Paen was one of the featured amulet in the book.
<<<--- One of the many coloured images in the book - the one shown at the left hand side has an indicative price of approx. 3 million Bahts.
For those who can reads Mandarin/Thai, here is another one:
I think this book has a few volumes. The one shown here as it mentioned was the first among all. It contains PLENTY of images ranging from Soomdej, Nang Praya, LP Nergn, , Phra Rod and many others etc.... I have been looking for the rest as well, if anyone of you can find a source, please inform me as well.
Similarly, if you can recommend any other good reference books, please update everyone via the Message Board. Thanks.| BACK | to Index page of personal collection

NOTE:- Virtually ALL the images appear in this site have two dimensions in their respective display. I think most seasoned Thai amulet lovers probably possess a pair of hawk eyes second to the Jews in the diamond trades, so, it is the intention to provide a LARGER view of each thumbnail in order for everyone to enjoy, authenticate or verify their originality. The technique to fully explore the convenience of this display system is - even when the larger view appears on the browser, you should use your mouse to click again to see the actual explosive view. Please bear with the slower download time of those explosive views. Enjoy.
