Exclusive accessories

The camera shares many system accessories that was introduced for the EOS 500. Remote Switch RS-60 E3 allows the camera to be fired from up to 60 cm away. It uses a 2.5 mm mini jack socket with three terminals. The Remote Switch is also usable with EOS-50, 500N and EOS 888/5000.
Dioptric Correction lens E: Attaching the eyepiece allows near or far sighted users to see the viewfinder image clearly without eyeglasses. The default is -1 diopter. There are 10 correction lenses for you to choose from. Eyepiece Extender EP-EX 15 moves the viewfinder frame back 15 mm from the camera body, giving a more comfortable clearance between the face and the back of the camera. Naturally, you can also make use other eyepiece accessories such as Angle Finder B for right angle viewing or low level shooting etc. GR-80TP Grip Extension features a built-in mini tripod, it screws to the tripod socket, giving a larger grip for the hand, plus a detachable hand strap. The Battery Power Pack BP-8 is both a battery pack as well as a vertical grip for the EOS-500 (usable with 500N and EOS-888/5000 too). It accepts 4 alkaline-manganese or rechargeable NiCd size AA battery cells. Camera Cases EM8-L and EH8-LL: Dedicated case which accommodates the camera with any of the following lenses attached: EH8-L : EF 35-80mm f/4-5.6 USM, EF 35-105mm f/4 5-5 6 USM; EH8LL: EF 28-80mm f/3.5-5 6 IV USM, EF 80-200mm f/4-5 6 USM
