Nikon F3 P ("Press" or "Professional" ) - whatever term that would make you comfortable for this camera to be called. .. The Nikon F3P, is a special heavy-duty version of the Nikon F3 High-Eyepoint camera designed for hard, rugged use by photojournalists, newsmen etc. This camera was believed to have been produced in limited quantities. Except for the modifications listed below, the F3P is the same as standard Nikon F3 High-Eyepoint camera.

You may also see Camerquest's profile on F3P to compare notes. However, I am not too convinced that the F3P was only meant for local Japanese's journalists as stated in Stephen's site. But rather, I would love to think the Nikon F3 LE (Limited Edition) was a Japanese version of the F3P (Difference is its packing, neck strap, an "Limited" word inscribed after "F3" and came without the MF-6B auto stop film leader film back which is a standard back for F3P). I remembered the F3P was quite popular among many local newsmen, journalists and even serious amateurs. In fact, images taken from this site were taken from a used outlet which has three used units for sale !
