The reclining Buddha Image at Wat MekPrasit, A siamese Thai Buddhist Temple in Ipon City, Perak, Malaysia

The center stage of Wat Mekprasit is a huge reclining Buddha image (or often called Sleeping Buddha) as its backdrop. It is slightly varied from the likes of the Reclining Buddha at Wat Chayamangkalaram, Penang. It is shorter in dimension and even the facial expression is different. Naturally, both can't compete with the like of image found at the historical site at Wat Pho as other than acts as a main tourist destination which has tourism as one of the main source of income for the country, scales in the various forms of donations from devotees in the capital city with 6 million population is simply different.
