Full Specifications - Basic Nikon F2 Camera Body

Shutter: Horizontal-travel Titanium-foil focal-plane shutter; speeds of from 1 to 1/2000 second and "B" in fourteen steps via shutter-speed dial; intermediate dial settings possible between 1/80 and 1/2000 second (stepless); speeds of from 2 to 10 seconds also available at "B" using self-timer; Time exposure setting also provided.

Viewfinder: Interchangeable Eye Level pentaprism type (model DE-1); virtually 100% frame coverage provided; interchangeable Type A (earlier model) or type K focusing screen supplied as standard
Depth-of-field preview: Button provided; coaxial with mirror lock
Reflex mirror: Automatic instant-return type with Lock-up facility
Flash synchronization: At any speed except "B" and "T" with flashbulbs, and speeds up to 1/80 sec. with electronic flash; built-in hotshoe contact with safety switch provided; threaded sync terminal also provided
FPX sync: automatic switch over with shutter speed selection
Sync range: FP bulbs, all speeds except 1/60 and 1/80 sec.; electronic flash, 1/80 to 1 sec. plus "B "
Self-timer: Can be set for 2 to 10 sec. delay with scale reference graduations of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 sec., also serves as timer for 2 to 10 sec. shutter speed range via "B" setting
Film advance lever: Single stroke or a series of strokes; standoff angle 20, winding angle 120
Frame counter: Additive type; automatic resetting
