I need a users manual for a Canon T-50. Can anybody? help me out or point me in the right direction? Thanks.

  2. From Markus R. (Tue Dec 12 10:02:21 2000 ):
Hey Guys, I have two problems with my T 70. One is, that the safty button for the back cover latsch doesn't work any more. Now I can open the back cover without having to push the safty button. Nosey as I am, I took the door lock mechanism appart. To me it looks like as if the metal spring for the safty button got lost. Could that be the reason for the button to get staked in the push down position? The second problem is this. After I changed the two AA batteries on my T 70 a week ago, I noticed yesterday, that the writing on the LCD display started to disappaer (at that point the camera didn't work at all), and sporadicly reappeared (at which point the camera worked again). Is it possible that the problem is caused by a dead battery for the memory back up? Please, let me know what you guys think. Thank you very much, Markus

i am looking for lenses for my T-80, but according to many editorials, they are probably a rare find (and not worth my time). if there is anybody who knows of some a place, where i can find a lense compatible with my camera, that would be great.

I have a Canon T50 which I had to take apart to unjam, and in the process I missaligned all of the drive gears. Does anyone have, or know where to locate, a picture of the gear placement? I have checked the regular users manual and it does not have the expolded diagram that would help. Thanks.

  10. From Ladimer Herle (Sun Nov 19 07:01:26 2000 ):
INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR SPEEDLITE 60F FLASH? I am looking for the instruction manual for the Canon Speedlite 60F flash that I got for my T60 (back when I bought it new). I'm trying to decypher the chart on the back and pick the right setting ("M", green "A", or yellow "A") and aperture. OR, if someone can explain it simply I'd really appreciate it.

  11. From Kai Pin (Thu Nov 16 20:44:33 2000 ):
TO ALAN: New flash for the T70? None. Used 277T and 299T as well as A-series Canon Speedlites are available from Keh Camera Broker from this URL: http://www.keh.com/ TO JACKIE: No, the T70's Command Back cannot fit on the T80. TO SAL and LISA : go to Keh Camera's homepage for any flash to fit the T50. TO CHRIS: nothing is wrong with the lens. All FD lenses has to be set on A for them to work on the T50. TO BARRY: Only the Wireless Controller LC-1 works on the T50, as for cable release for the T50, you can use the Extension Cord 1000 T3 to connect between the camera and the Remote Witch 60 T3. TO KAREN: The T50 is a Program AE-only 35mm SLR camera, as such only FD lenses or independent lenses and adapters having the required AE signal pins can be used with the camera. TO LYNN LIRETTE: For the camera compartment door, try JP Camera Repair (http://members.aol.com/jpcameras/index.html) - maybe they can help. For instruction manual, there is an online version located at this URL: http://members.nbci.com/nemco/t50/cover.htm

  14. From Karen (Thu Nov 9 23:20:13 2000 ):
I am in the process of buying a Canon T-50 from a pawn shop. The camera looks to be in good shape. It has 2 lens, one attached and a telephoto lens in a bag. The telephoto lens will not fit, looks like it needs a converter to make it work. Can I buy a converter to make it work. It's not made by Canon?

  15. From Rob (Fri Nov 3 23:01:57 2000 ):
I like the T50- I have one I bought at eBay for $56- like new- but recently had what I believed was a problem with it and I will mention it here as it may save others some grief in the future. I went on a trip to Boston and while I was loading the film in the camera I advanced it a few frames as is customary. The lens was capped but I noticed that the shutter speed was fast- not the 2 sec interval that my AE-1P would have when doing the same thing. Seemed like a metering problem. Well, I spent a half an hour in a subway station trying to figure out what was wrong with no flm loaded. The "problem" would suddenly disappear- then reoccur later. I decided not to shoot pictures as there was something obviously wrong with the camera. Later when I returned home I figured out that this is a neat feature of the T series. It automatically advances to the first usable frame of the filmstrip before it actually exposes them. This saves a lot of time. So when you load the film, just hold down on the shutter button and it will automatically stop on frame #1. This feature is not (as far as I recall) mentioned in the user's manual. The T50 is a great travel SLR- tough, cheap and runs on batteries you can find anywhere. I wish I'd had more of a chance to try it out.

  16. From Barry (Tue Oct 31 10:13:25 2000 ):
I'm looking for a cable release for the T50. Does anyone know if the wireless remotes (LC2) which work with the later T-series models will also work for the T50? I'd rather get wireless since the 60-T3 remote for the T50 has such a short cord. Thanks!

  17. From lisa (Tue Oct 31 08:25:12 2000 ):
In search of a flash for a t50. Can anybody direct me? Looking for it as a gift for my husband for Christmas. Thanks!

  18. From Chris (Mon Oct 30 02:46:24 2000 ):
just purchase a used t50. when i take off the 50mm lens and adjust the aperture manually, it doesn't move. since i'm unfamiliar with this model, is this normal for this lens? does the aperture adjust automatically when it's set to A? or is the lens busted?

I am looking for a command back for my Canon T80, does anyone have one that they would like to sell.

  23. From Ivan (Sun Oct 15 11:51:35 2000 ):
I recently bought a T60 but it has a problem. After releasing the shutter the mirror becomes caught and doesn't go back down. However when the lens is removed the mirror goes back down. Also if you wait a couple of minutes the mirror will go back down of its own accord. Has anyone had this problem? What did you do?

  24. From Kai (Wed Oct 11 16:27:55 2000 ):
Hi, guys, sorry for the dead link for the T50 manual in the PIM site. The new external link (URL) for the online T50 manual is now shifted to: http://members.nbci.com/nemco/t50/cover.htm I don't know when the owner of the site changed the URL since it was still the same old one the last time I enter about three weeks ago.

  25. From leofoo (Tue Oct 10 00:51:58 2000 ):
Thanks to KaiPin who has spent quite sometime to locate a copy of the manual for me from Canon and also tp few of my staffs, Ms Mai, Wati and Mirza who has helped so much to do all those tiring and boring scanning work. The Instruction manual for the Canon T60 has finally been uploaded at: http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/companies/canon/fdresources/SLRs/t60/t60manual/index.htm

  26. From Kai Pin (Sun Oct 8 15:04:24 2000 ):
RAY: The online Canon T60 manual will be up real soon in this site. TO MARK: With the 244T, it is basically a Program only autoflash metering and you have to use your T70 in either Program or Tv mode. It does not have manual flash or even the f-number autoflash selection available on the 277T and 299T Speedlites.

  27. From MARK (Sun Oct 8 12:51:46 2000 ):
I have a T70 that needs a flash.I found a great deal on a 244T, will that work OK? What is difference between 244T and the 277T? Thanks for the help.

  32. From DAN (Sun Sep 17 04:43:59 2000 ):
I have just started to use a cannon T-50. When taking still objects it works well. But when taking pictures of faster moving objects they come out blurry. I know this is because of the speed of the film. If i buy a 200 speed film which i normally do, does it mean that i have to use the 200ASA setting or can i turn it up to 400ASA and will the photos come out if i do?

I bought a new canon T50 back in 86. I had been using it with its original lens and a Vivitar 70-210. I lost my small lens and the Vivitar lens fell off and broke. Needless to say, I had been looking to buy a new camera but, they are too expensive specially when mine is as good as new. I need both lenses, Anyone know where I can find a good short range lens and a good 70-300 lens or better? I found this place by chance, I do not think I will be visiting it very often, please email me any possible help. jaime_rs@bellsouth.net Gracias-Thanks

I need help with 277t flash unit. I was cleaning battery terminals with the back removed and the wires to the foot became detached at the foot. The red, white, and ground are still secure to the circuit board end but I do not know how they were arranged and soldered to the foot plate. It has 3 choices, a center and two rear terminals which then contact the camera. Would really appreciate If anyone knows how the color wires and ground were attached. Thanks, Tom
