  1. From Hal (Wed Dec 1 10:10:22 1999 ):
I have a Canon T70 that has been working great for 15 years. Last week the door of the battery comparment fell off and was lost. If anyone has a source of repair parts please let me know. Thanks

  2. From Steve Shore (Wed Dec 1 08:57:37 1999 ):
I am interested in knowing more about the Canon T-70 and it's remote accessories and capabilities. What is included in the remote switching apparatus, what is the distance (straight line w/o obstructions), etc. Thanks for your input!!!!!

  3. From Monty Montgomery (Tue Nov 30 13:15:57 1999 ):
After 15 years of trouble-free use, my Canon T70 quit working without warning. Where can you get one of these oldies fixed? Canon doesn't seem interested in talking about their older products, so I assume sending it back to them is out of the question. Can anybody recommend a good place to send my camera for repair?

  4. From Jorge Hernández Torres (Tue Nov 30 12:05:07 1999 ):
Hi! I'm looking (desperately) for a Canon T-80 user's manual. Could anyone help me? Please send your response to jhernant@uis.edu.co Thanks in advance for any help. Jorge

  5. From Michael (Tue Nov 30 07:34:52 1999 ):
I bought a T60 about 8 or 9 years ago and after two years of good service it did not make any move. After I have changed the battery there was not any move at all. Someone told me that the computer maybe out of order. Are there spare parts available or is it better to buy a new camera.

  6. From Mark T (Tue Nov 30 03:51:40 1999 ):

  11. From tammy hoyt (Sun Nov 28 10:36:06 1999 ):
my camera does not work at the same time "the shutter doesnt work in time with the button", the rewind doesnt work with the at the end of the roll.

  12. From Jori (Sat Nov 27 06:29:32 1999 ):
I have an older T50 that I picked up at a pawn shop, but it didn't contain the user's manual. That's been fine, up until now since I want to try out a few more things, but I have no clue on how to set some things up. Does anyone know where I could find a user's manual or more information on this camera? Also, lately, the shutter has started sticking when you use the Automatic setting on the aperture. Anyone have a clue as to what could be causing that??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  13. From Ross Mapson (Fri Nov 26 12:10:30 1999 ):
To Jim about the cameras that won't fire. The only time I have seen that problem is when the batteries are low and need replacing.

  14. From Michael McCarrell (Tue Nov 23 01:53:04 1999 ):
According to Canon and other sources a databack is available for the T70. If anyone can point me toward someone who has one I'd appreciate it.

  16. From Darren Huson (Tue Nov 16 06:28:44 1999 ):
I have an older T50 that was given to me, and I have a question: does anyone know what the wiring specs are for the remote control port? I'd like to use a motion detector to trigger the camera, and need to know the wiring of the 3-pin remote control connector. Many thanks!

  17. From jolynn (Mon Nov 15 06:49:08 1999 ):
I have a Canon T50 and I am having a hard time getting great looking close up pictures (approximately 2ft from subject) I am using a 50mm lens. Is there anything that I can buy to upgrade this camera so that I can get great looking close up photos? Also is there any other books that may help me understand this camera a little better than the owners manual????

  18. From Kai Pin (Sat Nov 13 03:08:53 1999 ):
TO GLORIA: Are you sure it is a Canon T70? And not the Canon T50 or T60 camera that your sister has? Because the T70 does not utilize a rewind knob at all since it uses a built-in motor for powered rewind. On the T-series models, only the T50 and T60 have rewind knobs for rewinding the film.

  19. From gloria (Sat Nov 13 02:53:37 1999 ):
I am living in Fort Collins Colorado, but mu sister has a camera T-70 and she lives in Colombia and needs the rewind knob. In Colombia the special place to repair cameras said that It's too old and they cannot get the defective part. Somebody know where I can ask about that part? (Rewind Knob) Can you write me to my e-mail glomago@hotmail.com Thanks!!!
  20. From Kai Pin (Fri Nov 12 06:09:42 1999 ):
TO SCOTT UMSTATTD: Try Keh Camera Broker at http://www.keh.com/ or B&H Photo at http://www.bhphoto.com/ FOR MARC DEMPSEY: No digital back is available for the T70 camera. FOR ROBERT: The T70's companion flash is the Canon Speedlite 277T. The T70 can also be used with the Speedlite 244T (T50's) and 299T (with bounce capability) or any A-series Canon Speedlite.

  22. From John Irwin (Thu Nov 4 08:34:25 1999 ):
I have just bought a canon t50, and was wondering if there are any other sites out there that anyone else may have come across- apart from this excellent one, if so - could u post a message here- or even mail me- thanking you

  23. From Jim (Thu Nov 4 03:48:42 1999 ):
I have two T-70 bodies that work fine except for one common problem. Sometimes pushing the button does not cause the camera to fire. It seems stange to me that both bodies have the same problem. Is this a common problem with T-70s? Does the switch go bad? Any other comments, suggestions, or experience would be welcome.

  24. From Robert (Mon Nov 1 04:09:34 1999 ):
I am new to Photography, Recently purchased a T70 with no manuel, I have printed valuable info off the canon site as well as other areas. I still dont seem to find any info on the flash this model uses. Can someone help? Please email me.

  25. From Marc Dempsey (Mon Nov 1 00:09:16 1999 ):

I need a instraction/user manual for CANON T50. If anyone has one - please copy and mail to: W.GORDON; #8 GOLDA MAER str. 34982 HAIFA ISRAEL

  29. From Kai Pin (Tue Oct 12 09:41:45 1999 ):
TO DEAN: Something will happen. The T60 will still select a shutter speed based on Aperture-priority AE but the effective f/stop in this setting (with the lens on "A") will be the lens' minimum aperture. Which means the shutter speed selected can be too slow for handheld exposure. TO HUGH: You can buy a used T70, ranging from good to near mint condition, from KEH Camera Broker at: http://www.keh.com/ TO COREY: Cambridge Camera Exchange of New York City used to have such adapter for mounting Pentax K-lenses on Canon cameras utilising the FD breech Lock mount but I am not sure whether they still have them. You can find out their current address, phone and fax number from the latest issue of Popular Photography or Petersen's Photographic magazine. FOR NEAL RADFORD and KARINA: The back cover and rewind knob could have been stuck or jammed. Most camera repair centers, including independent ones, should be able to correct or even replace whatever defective part that is causing the back cover and rewind knob to lock up. FOR GORDON HAMILTON and GAIL MARTIN: Both of you can give KEH Camera Broker a try at its homepage at: http://www.keh.com/ for the said items.
  30. From Joel Weinstein (Mon Oct 11 12:47:45 1999 ):
Several people have asked about manuals for their old T-series cameras. I obtained a manual for my used T-70 from Canon. I don't recall the number but it was listed on the Canon websit. It can be obtained thru Canon customer service. i believe it cost about $6 and it took about 2 weeks. Joel (jmweinst@facstaff.wisc.edu)

  31. From Hugh (Fri Oct 8 09:08:31 1999 ):

  32. From Dean (Fri Oct 8 03:14:35 1999 ):
I have a student that has a T-60 with an FD 50mm lens. If the camera is aperture priority, what happens if you put the aperture ring on the "A" setting? I'm guessing nothing, but if anyone can verify or disprove, it would help. Thanks Dean

  33. From Corey (Tue Oct 5 01:20:44 1999 ):

Welcome to the Canon T-series camera's message board. This message board is designed to help the T-series owners worldwide (or regular surfers) exchange opinions and experiences of using their respective Canon cameras. As the co-maintainer of this site, I will, from time to time, try my best to provide solutions to some of the messages to be posted here. I may not be the best person to do so, however, since I am sure there are always somebody out there who is more well-versed in using any of the T-series models like the T50, T60, T70 and T90. Oh yes, owners of the T90 camera are also welcome to field messages pertaining to their problems or successful solutions in solving them in this board as well. Enjoy !
