HELP! I need a flash unit for RTSII. I just phoned a few places and was unpleasantly surprised to learn that the "4-point connection" for a new TLA 360 won't do because RTSII has a 3 point connection. Does anyone know which, if any, of currently produced flash units from contax will work with RTSII (such that you can use the TTL metering)? If not, does anyone know where I might get "new old" stock? (I don't want to buy a secondhand gun because they are often clapped out, and METZ guns look pretty shoddy in comparison).
(incidentally, why did contax stop making RTSII? It seems so much more elegant than RTSIII).2. From : anna azizian (email@example.com)

Hello: I did a stupid thing. I left my Contax on a counter, and it tipped over. The camera seems fine, but the plastic attachment on the flash broke. Where can I go to get a replacement of my TLA 30 flash attachment? Is it a dinosaur? I was thinking of gluing it, but the fit doesn't seem perfect. I may have to go to Ritz Camera and get a different brand. Any help you can give will be appreciated. Thank you, Anna A3. From : Ryu YT (firstname.lastname@example.org)

I am from Korea. It is such a pity that not many people (especially he fellow Contax users) get to know the existance of this great website. I love to see more postings and hopefully I can benefit form the inputs on this forum just like the others such as those for the Canon, Nikon, Pentax LX, Olympuses and Minoltas in this malaysian site. Only comment is the lack of the RTSIII model, hopefully I can also see the site up and running one day to complete the series. Cheers to the those who has spent time on the development job. Thanks.4. A wonderful website, I have aquired a great deal of information about Contax and Nikon cameras from you and hope to help contribute to this great wealth of knowledge in the future. I have just purchased a Contax 139Q and a TLA20 flash, just the start for me ! love the bright viewfinder, looks like my Pentacon had a heart attack, not sure if I have the stamina for the F system anymore? Thanks. Michael G5. From : David Tolcher (firstname.lastname@example.org)

Is there a resource for establishing age of camera from its serial number ? I have an RTS2, RTS3 and S2 that I would be interested in tracking down when they were made. I've seen sites for most of the main manufacturers offering serial numbers by year but not contax. Thanks, Dave6. From : Chevov (email@example.com)

A lovely website with huge amount of good content and information where it relates to older series of RTS cameras. It can well be the best Contax RTS site that you can find on the Internet right now. Hope to see the RTS 3 coming live soon. Best regards.7. From : M.shabbir gill (firstname.lastname@example.org)

Browsing your excellent/informative/comprehensive site since few weeks and really MIR has done an excellent job to maintain such web site for the classics user around the globe. Waiting for RTSIII and Nikon F4 site anxiously and hope in the near future to see the same in similar way as Nikon FM series cameras. Once again congratulations and keep it up. Thanks8. Absolute FABULOUS in terms of design and the wealth of information contained inside here just for a camera website. This has helped to firm up my mind to get the RTS II which I have struggled for quite while whether to take up the offer from my friend where he is turning to digital photography now. After all, most of the materials I think I'd ever needed of how to make good use of this camera can be found here. By the way, I think you you guys have done a fantastic job. Thanks for all the contributing effort and this Message Board is equally useful to serve such a purpose.9. From : Co-MB Maintainer (email@example.com)

I have waited for more than a year for this website to go "live". Well it worths the wait and did justice to the camera that I like most, RTS II. I have a few lenses and the favourite is the 300mm tele-tessar and the Macro-Planar 100mm. easily one of the best CONTAX website on the Net that you can find and hopetfully mr leo can extend this site to feature other Contax SLR models as well ! GREAT WORK !
