"... My first impression is that for anyone coming from a 70-200mm f2.8L IS, this one would be huge. But in my case, having that lens and both the 300 and 500, I am pleased to find it smaller than I'd expected. And lighter. It's going to be a real joy to use. My first impression also is that the DOF is greater than I expected... I took a few test shots in my office and feel the DOF at f2 is greater than the 135mm f2L or 300mm f2.8L IS (shot wide open of course). Anyway, I've got someone lined up for Sunday morning to model for me and I'll be shooting just about exclusively with this new lens and just about exclusively at f2. (That's what I got it for!), Regards... Eldor
