Leica MP Counterfeit/faked - Part VI - MIR Image Library

Leica MP (faked)

Shown here is a counterfeit MP body made with M2 parts but remains in perfect working condition. Despite it is counterfeited copy, this faked MP can still command a moderately high price of EURO 1,800-00*. Possibly it is hard to come by with a high class counterfeited works and may used for references and/or display. Internally, it is still a M2 original. No Leicavit MP is being made to fit this camera.

The visual here are just acted as a visual reference guide. For one level up cautious collector, internal structure and engraving may even fool an excited buyer. Online buying can has its dark side, at times, you may wonder why people prefer dealing with reputable source or outlets - simply slight extra in premium paid may protect you from undesirable event. If you are seasoned enough to make personal judgment, that is fine, if not - always seek advises and/or refer to the more experienced collectors. Please take note: most counterfeited bodies are made and intended to cheat, they are not replicas nor conversion and there is no justification to imprint a MP-Specific S/N inside body.
