INTERIM products during period between M3 Double Stroke and
Single Stroke Models:- Here is an excellent representation
on some of the LAST series of Leica M3 double stroke bodies produced. It came
with a matching CF Summicron 1:2 f=5cm lens supplied with close focus attachment
& cap; ever ready case and in a red maker's box . S/N 9190xx, approx. year of
produce, 1958. It fetches a good premium at EUR 1.900,00*. As compare to an early
Single Stroke M3, price variation is within few hundred EURO. It is an interesting
comparison.

Early Leica M3 chrome Single Stroke
Body S/N 8663XX, 1957
One typical model that fell between the interim period on official production of
earlier double strokes and the revised Single-Stroke body. It didn't command a higher
premium even though it was almost like the earliest Single Stroke M3 around, mainly
due to a B/C rating on its condition. Further, by this period, most of the Leica
M3 had incorporated with newer features.
