Case Study: The camera model with almost identical description on technical high/good rating on its used condition but why would the price variation differs so much in the collectors market ? I guess firstly, even if the model below has a slightly better rated condition as compared to the earlier featured M3 Black Paint model (One step up above this) , The auctioned item was not supplied with the matching Summicron-M 1:2 f=50mm Black Paint lens as a complete outfit. But more importantly, I wish to remind you this auctioned M3 Black Paint model was extracted from an auctioned archive that appeared at one of the earliest auction literature. Which means to say, over the years - PRICES/PREMIUM HAS actually ROCKETED UPWARDS for absolute rare and collectible Leica/lens.

That was why other than from a collectible perspective, it is actually slowly has becoming an alternate form of investment tool. Whether it was engineered effort OR simply from supply and demand situation but undeniably, other than to satisfy personal aspiration for passion in a hobby, it is a also good alternative option for hedging inflation.
