Leica MP Betriebsk 0.72x Black Paint model

The MP Betriebsk 0.72X Black body may be compared as one of the most RARE modern remake of Leica MP in terms of production number. I was told that there are only 25 sets ever made. a number something put it along like the range of a prototype camera.. Units showcased here is brand new, with body cap, manual, warranty card and box. Never used. Approx. Price: EURO 4,500-00.*

NOTE: Leica Betriebsk, cameras can be found on quite a number of Leica-M bodies, which includes early 1960's LEICA M3 Betriebsk to a 2002 Leica M7 Betriebsk. These bodies, had slowly caught attention of the collector's market and usually Betriebsk bodies in equivalent model can fetch a higher premium over standard production units.

There are a few opinions expressed or explained on an encoded "Betriebsk" on Leica-M cameras. One interpretation presented by online discussion group was, they are bodies confined to internal use copies for cross-examination. Next version of explanation is, these units are simply pre-production copies which are/were intended for regional distributors as a form of preview as well as pre-market evaluation. Packing usually is confined to basic silver boxes with no general guarantee cards except for basic manuals as well as an introductory letter outlining the general features & functions of the new camera models. Betriebsk marked Leicas has shown being used on recent Leica-M such as the Leica MP-Betriebsk 0.72x and even with the 2002's LEICA M7 Betriebsk. One and off, you can see a few of these Betriebsk Leica being surfaced at the used LEICA equipment market today. Whatever it is, usually / typically, a Betriebsk-marked body has not been serialized like a normal Leica equivalent model but this particular set has a reference model code engraved at the top plate. It may takes individual to put a premium on such models.
