My mentor, Mr. Wichian® Phacheratmurni, a Thai National, aged 78 this year (2004). When he was 17 years old, he turned himself to religious service as a monk in WAT Pahkat, Songkra, Southern Thailand. under the late Master Achan Gong. It was during his devoted services that he has picked up the hobby of collecting amulets. At 43, he finally decided to give up his duty and resorted to normal lifestyle. He married at the age of 48 and all his three children live in Malaysia right now but he remains alone living in Hadyai, Thailand when his wife passed away 10 years ago. During his leisure time, He travel extensively around the Kingdom to pursue further in techniques of chanting and collecting amulets, it has become a life time passion.

The last 20 years of relationship between us only laid on a foundation of trustworthiness and so during a recent trip to Malaysia when I ask if he has some "Sam-Po" (Thai Amulets) here at his daughter's house in Kuala Lumpur, he came round to my office and left me with a few hundreds of them and he told me there are probably another few thousands at his residence in Thailand. I selected a few and took some shots with a digital camera and when he returned the next day, he was totally fascinated with the clarity of image via the LCD monitor. So, I explained WHY wouldn't he consider let me create a website for him and showcase some of his collection ? Probably he can make a few new friends along the way. He obliged and that was how it began. Although we have known each other for 20+ years, but between us, we still have difficulty in communications. I don't speak Thai and he doesn't understand English either, so we use a mix of dialects of Bahasa Malaysia, Hokkien, simple Thai etc. to intellect all these years. The WHOLE issue I am trying to convey is, even if he has pronounced to me repeatedly with each words in Thai relating to their origin, I couldn't get them right. SO, this site will never be attempted to be a first class website on related topics becoz as the creator, I an illiterate to both amulets and their history and YOU MUST BEAR to LIVE WITH ITS SHORTFALL.

Whatever it is, since I am quite free after completing a few head-spinning websites on SLR cameras, so, I thought this renewed topic can be quite fun to start-off. However, since the old man is also retired and I thought he is quite good in his specialties, so, why don't I use the web to expend his circles of contact, make sense huh ? I sincerely think he is a HONEST guy and so, if any of you wish to acquire a good amulets without the hassle of going round to Temples or retail shops, WHY DON'T you give him a call ? IF you think some of these displayed units are worthy collection (in fact, ALL virtually all my personal pieces were given by him), do consult with him and SEE IF HE CAN SOURCE ONE FOR YOU - the ONLY PROBLEM IS - he doesn't use the Internet right now, so you HAVE TO CALL HIS HAND / HOUSE PHONE INSTEAD but please bear in mind, he doesn't have any extraordinary stocks of ultra-rare images in his possession, instead, he can only help you with his own experience to provide you real, genuine, high quality Thai amulets in specific to your personal needs (DON'T waste your time, there is NO amulets to help you win lotteries either),

NOTE:- Virtually ALL the images appear in this site have two dimensions in their respective display. I think most seasoned Thai amulet lovers probably possess a pair of hawk eyes second to the Jews in the diamond trades, so, it is the intention to provide a LARGER view of each thumbnail in order for everyone to enjoy, authenticate or verify their originality. The technique to fully explore the convenience of this display system is - even when the larger view appears on the browser, you should use your mouse to click again to see the actual explosive view. Please bear with the slower download time of those explosive views. Enjoy.
