The whole problem with me is, I am not very good at writing, neither I am very knowledgeable
with all the many Buddhist votive tablets. Besides, it takes a great deal of effort
try to understand the rich and colourful history in the development of Buddhism in
and around the Asian region, the local custom, culture, icons, temples and even with
geographical locations of various countries (such as Thailand, Burma, Sri-Lanka,
Tibet/China, Laos, Cambodia, Singapore and even Malaysia etc.). An objective of this section
is to post/host some interesting finds and at the same time, mirror/archive/back-up
whatever good content that are/have been published elsewhere (with permission). So,
please don't misunderstood my good intention by thinking I am duplicating similar
resources. Whatever it is, I have great respect for whoever that has created Buddhism
resources - regardless they are from which school or region. For an example, Sri-Lanka
(formerly Ceylon) is one of the country that practices Buddhism but as a fellow Buddhist
- I have little knowledge on this related topic from that Kingdom. Naturally, for
all current Thai-amulet collectors, the popular form may be the easiest, so use here
to discuss and share common issues over here. It can be anything - from place of
interest to personalities etc. Indirectly, LET US UNDERSTAND BETTER in the DEVELOPMENT
OF BUDDHISM IN YOUR COUNTRY
with the additional
benefit of promoting tourism in your location (preferably, please keep the commercial
content out) - So, if you are knowledgeable, reasonably good at writing - just send
me (or any of the Co-Maintainers) articles that can help to promote this very unique
oriental religion with the many others globally who still have not... Thus, the very
next time when you travel again, take sometime to prepare a photo-journal as well.
Thank you.

Public Knowledge Based
Forum: Any comments,
questions, suggestions, report of a problem encountering in the site OR wish to share
a thought, expressing a personal desire to acquire or disposal any particular Buddhist
image ? Please make good use of the
section which may serve more specifically with
your objective.
NOTE:- Virtually ALL the
images appear in this site have two dimensions in their respective display. I think
most seasoned Thai amulet lovers probably possess a pair of hawk eyes second to the
Jews in the diamond trades, so, it is the intention to provide a LARGER view of each
thumbnail in order for everyone to enjoy, authenticate or verify their originality.
The technique to fully explore the convenience of this display system is - even when
the larger view appears on the browser, you should use your mouse to click again
to see the actual explosive view. Please bear with the slower download time of those
explosive views. Enjoy.
