Photography in Malaysia Community Section: |
The respective Message Boards are some of the HARDEST hit section of the PIM site, if at any one time, the traffic is high - the table/content may take a while to load the data, just be patience. If it stalls, just click on the 'Reload' or 'Refresh' button on your browser menu once to re-attempt. Thank you.Share common knowledge & exchanging experience with your views on photography. I know the original Free Trade Zone section may has some restriction imposed on its content (only Buy/Sell Stuffs), but as requests are pouring in to create another section for other subjects other than buy/disposal of equipments, so, as much as I can offer, I have used the template for other existing message boards to create another section for all of you to use. As this is a non-profitable section, so I didn't ask our programming staffs to creste a dedicated thread-like format. I am not sure if this has served its purpose but nevertheless, it is a channel for all of you to utilise to express other thoughts on photography-related issues. A few volunteers have been appointed to edit the content as it requires. You may make use of this convenience here to present your own views. Enjoy.
This site is specifically created for common usage on photographic issues. Please don't mail me other than constructive suggestions or rectifying mistakes found in this site, thank you. Since this is a non-profitable resource site - The developer of this site reserves the rights to censor or delete any inappropriate, unrelated, misleading or excessively hostile messages posted herein. If your intention is to dispose your photographic equipment(s) or its accompanying accessories or looking for a used model or any of its system components, please use the ORIGINAL FTZ section with a higher volume of traffic Free Trade Zone site instead. The Photography In Malaysia has no Guestbook on its own, because it is an integral part of the MIR site. But if you want to leave a note on your experience visiting this site, you may use the MIR's Guestbook at another new window by clicking on the Guestbook Link.

My posting here on 18 September 2006 was, unfortunately, not read by a FTZ poster named NR. He was struck by the same "Lee" who tried to play a fast one on me. Read today's posting on the FTZ.
Granted that it is not the business of MIR or anyone else to protect reckless and sometimes pre stupid buyers who fall prey to conmen lurking in the FTZ, I am wondering aloud whether we can put up a BEWARE OF FRAUD warning sign at the FTZ.

I am quite Happy to see the new FTZ for computers (and others) http://www.mir.com.my/MPUG-FTZ/index.php3 is also picking up in it usage. As for some of you who runs your own businesses, you can also use here to promote your business as domestically things is getting slow, we need to go outside to explore possibilities: http://www.mir.com.my/MIR-FTZ/index.php3 (I noticed The Chinese enterprises are more aggressive than our own Malaysian Companies). Wondering where the hxxxll did they managed to find this new FTZ-Business spot.
In the near future if these two new FTZ extensions are picking up steam in traffic, I might have to invite some of you to co-maintain the two new boards. Thanks.

I also think we cannot entertain [item Sold] placement. Imagine every poster post one [Item Sold] ads later, then 50% of the posts will be the [Item sold] post. If every poster put up 2 posts to announce their items already sold; then 67% of the post will be [Item sold] posts. Keep it clean, please.

I support the move to delete all (Item sold) ads in the FTZ board. It is neither a SELL nor a BUY and serve no purpose except to litter the board. If a poster cannot handle the hassle after the posting; think twice before you post. I noticed the board is much cleaner these days, and I don't find as many (Item Sold) ads on the front page. Great efforts by the maintainers. TQ

Dear Francis:- Points taken. We will be more careful on that. But please bear in mind, each day, there are a couple of ten Spammed postings (The FTZ is clean because there are Eight volunteered co-moderators helping to monitor the content). But the incident could be coincidental, we are sorry and will be more careful in the future. Ooi .... Co-Maintainers: JAGA JAGA next time if not we will kena DART again !
Johan2: Personally, I think this board is quite under-utilized as compared to the trading section. May be it can/should be converted into a Photo Discussion area. We cannot force users to use it so, up to the FTZ-Kaki Kaki to decide if it is useful. Cheers.

Under the psuedonym "Jack" I advertised to buy a Nikon 300mm lens and asked potential sellers to contact me. When I successfully bought one through the posting, I posted a message on 30.9.2006 to say that I have bought it. This is to inform readers not to make me any more offers.
The moderator deleted my posting.
I can accept the moderator's decision except that there are so many "Item Sold" posting allowed in this site. Why does he disallow my so-called "Item Already Bought" posting ?
Unless the moderator can be more consistent, this can be pretty annoying.
