Photography in Malaysia Community Section:
Public Discussion Forum on Various Issues on Photography

Share common knowledge & exchanging experience with your views on photography. I know the original Free Trade Zone section may has some restriction imposed on its content (only Buy/Sell Stuffs), but as requests are pouring in to create another section for other subjects other than buy/disposal of equipments, so, as much as I can offer, I have used the template for other existing message boards to create another section for all of you to use. As this is a non-profitable section, so I didn't ask our programming staffs to creste a dedicated thread-like format. I am not sure if this has served its purpose but nevertheless, it is a channel for all of you to utilise to express other thoughts on photography-related issues. A few volunteers have been appointed to edit the content as it requires. You may make use of this convenience here to present your own views. Enjoy.

This site is specifically created for common usage on photographic issues. Please don't mail me other than constructive suggestions or rectifying mistakes found in this site, thank you. Since this is a non-profitable resource site - The developer of this site reserves the rights to censor or delete any inappropriate, unrelated, misleading or excessively hostile messages posted herein. If your intention is to dispose your photographic equipment(s) or its accompanying accessories or looking for a used model or any of its system components, please use the ORIGINAL FTZ section with a higher volume of traffic Free Trade Zone site instead. The Photography In Malaysia has no Guestbook on its own, because it is an integral part of the MIR site. But if you want to leave a note on your experience visiting this site, you may use the MIR's Guestbook at another new window by clicking on the Guestbook Link.

Brand New Nikkor AFD 50mm f1.8 comes with warranty card dated 2 January 2006 and original receipt from Shong Lee Photo dated 2 January 06. I bought it at RM380. If you need it urgently and cannot find stocks at shops, feel free to contact Johan Sopiee at 012-2803280. If you are not happy with the price I'm selling at, you are under no obligation to buy. Johan Sopiee is my real name and 012-2803280 is my real contact number. What goes around comes around. I have sold items here and not a single customer has been unhappy. Do ask the people who have bought items from me. Not a single customer has ever told me that they feel cheated. As any other buyer would do, I ask around and I do my research on prices, availability and quality of items for sale. I've bought items from quite a few people and I'm very happy with all my purchases. I'd suggest all buyers gather your facts and make an informed decision. If you are unhappy about what I do here, please inform me about it. In fact, do let everyone here know that you are unhappy about me being here and if I have offended anyone and you all don't want me here, then, by all means, just tell me. I'm a grown-up. I can handle it. Thank you and apologies for such a long winded posting. - Johan2

Johan's offer is for an in-stock item and is not an unreasonable attempt at demand and supply forces.Dude! Please don't criticize what you don't fully understand. - Yang Arif

o what Johan is trying to do, is make a few extra dollars by selling items at above retail prices? I really don't understand it, he can openly tell ppl he bought the 50 1.8 Nikkor at RM380 but now he wants to sell it at RM470. Did Nikon suddenly stop making this lens? What is his motive? If Johan's vigilante spokesperson says not to simply talk about things one doesn't understand then maybe he should shed some light as to why Johan is doing it this way. Without an explanation, I think it's pretty dumb to try and waste bandwidth down here. Perhaps you (the spokesperson) and Johan can tell me what else you're looking for? I'll try to buy it from a place you recommend and then sell it to you for a profit. I'll also throw in the original receipt from the shop I bought it from, just so you know I made some money off you to pay for my parking and petrol. Can ah? - Market

Willing buyer Willing Seller. If the lens is available in retail shops I am sure the buyer would have bought it from the shop. But if the buyer needs the lens urgently and cannot wait and willing to pay a premium on it, It is the buyer's call. It's more constructive to tell the potential buyers what the market price is, I'm sure they will make their own decision whether it's worth that premium. I'm not Johan's supporter, dun get me wrong. There are also people who try to suppress sellers' price ridiculously. This is free market afterall. - OneCent

WARNING: To all the buyers in FTZ, please be careful. There are a group of scammers who are trying to convince you to transfer money to their bank account overseas countries like UK before they ship the lens or cameras that you want to buy in this website. DO NOT FALL INTO THE TRAP. My advice is for you to trade only to genuine sellers in Malaysia. View the goods personally first before you make any payment.Avoid overseas sellers.Trade smartly. Thanks. - ANTI-SCAMMER
