Photography in Malaysia Community Section:
The respective Message Boards are some of the HARDEST hit section of the PIM site, if at any one time, the traffic is high - the table/content may take a while to load the data, just be patience. If it stalls, just click on the 'Reload' or 'Refresh' button on your browser menu once to re-attempt. Thank you.
Share common knowledge & exchanging experience with your views on photography. I know the original Free Trade Zone section may has some restriction imposed on its content (only Buy/Sell Stuffs), but as requests are pouring in to create another section for other subjects other than buy/disposal of equipments, so, as much as I can offer, I have used the template for other existing message boards to create another section for all of you to use. As this is a non-profitable section, so I didn't ask our programming staffs to creste a dedicated thread-like format. I am not sure if this has served its purpose but nevertheless, it is a channel for all of you to utilise to express other thoughts on photography-related issues. A few volunteers have been appointed to edit the content as it requires. You may make use of this convenience here to present your own views. Enjoy.
This site is specifically created for common usage on photographic issues. Please don't mail me other than constructive suggestions or rectifying mistakes found in this site, thank you. Since this is a non-profitable resource site - The developer of this site reserves the rights to censor or delete any inappropriate, unrelated, misleading or excessively hostile messages posted herein. If your intention is to dispose your photographic equipment(s) or its accompanying accessories or looking for a used model or any of its system components, please use the ORIGINAL FTZ section with a higher volume of traffic Free Trade Zone site instead. The Photography In Malaysia has no Guestbook on its own, because it is an integral part of the MIR site. But if you want to leave a note on your experience visiting this site, you may use the MIR's Guestbook at another new window by clicking on the Guestbook Link.

VOLUNTEER MODELS FOR A VERY SPECIAL PROJECT!!!
I'm a freelance photographer based in Maryland who is currently in need of models (male and female) to participate in a unique photo experience. My goal is to show the beauty of the "average" body (no "six pack" abs needed here), while also creating a visual tribute to the Greek Gods and Goddesses! No prior modeling experience necessary. For complete information please visit:
It's time for the world to see that true beauty comes in all shapes and sizes!!!

They say, "That time comes when ... ." Well, I suppose, for me, you could say "That time has come."
After thirty-five years of enjoying the purchase and use of Nikon cameras, Nikon flashes, Bowens studio lighting, Nikkor and Nikon lens, motor drives, various filters, etc., the time has come for me to "get real" about the notion that I can't take the stuff with me, no matter how much I love it. So, I am preparing to put all my equipment (which is quite a collection, as compared to that a normal person might garner through life) on the auction block.
My four Nikon cameras (F/1974, F3, F4, and EM) form the foundations around which my entire collection is built. Presently, I am photographing all the equipment as best I can to demonstrate the pride I have exercised in keeping my equipment in clean and faultless working condition. I can honestly say: If I were in the market for a nice piece of used equipment I would be unrealistic to think I would find any in better condition than that which I am selling. The collection, as a whole, really is a testament to careful and prideful ownership.
So, given my intentions — to sell my entire collection, I am soliciting advice from those of you, fellow nikonians, who may care to share your knowledge and experience in selling equipment through internet auction. If you feel you know some obscurities of the process that would benefit my selling of the equipment, I would greatly appreciate your sharing that knowledge with me. Maybe more importantly, I want to give potential buyers the kind of information they need to have confidence in my integrity, and the true character and integrity of the equipment they may be interested in purchasing. I would like for each purchaser to be surprised in only one way — that the equipment condition, mechanically and aesthetically, exceeds their expectations.
I look forward to any advice you may choose to share. For you to take the few minutes it will take to share your thoughts will be most kind; and, I assure you I will be most appreciative.
Thank you for taking time to read this posting.

Hi All, Pls beware and do not get cheated by a person purportedly selling his Canon 20D with several lenses and accessories. This guy said to be residing in Indonesia, and work as Journalist with special assignment in the recent earthquake area: Yogyakarta. He uses the same method as some scammers from western europe or romania etc.. by asking you to use Western Union to transfer funds and goes missing once he got the money. Beware of this email: , funny thing that he even put Heather Donahue as the name in email. To Admin, pls do not remove this posting, we really should warn everyone about such scammers. TQ - scam reporter

Need to know: how is global warming affecting No. Russia and China? Is global dimming also affecting our photography (10% less light in the atmosphere in the past thirty years). Anyone working on these issues, please contact me at the posted mailing address. --Jay, in Boulder, Co. USA

Subject: - Looking for Photographer for Yoga Book
I am looking for talented photographer or photographers with that special talent for shooting bodies to work with us on a series of Yoga books. Most of the work will be technical or artistic studio shots and the project will eventually require around 1000 shots taken over a year or longer. The requirement is urgent. Please email Bill at email@example.com with links to examples of your work. If we like it we will arrange a yoga instructor model for you to do test shots of 4 yoga postures. This can be in KL, JB, Penang or Langkawi. Our budget is not huge, but photographers will receive cover credit and the books will be sold across SE Asia and probably worldwide.

DEAR ALL:- Please AVOID using HTML tags or Java Scripts to post any sale/buy messages as these will/may interrupt basic functionality of the FTZ board. It happened once today with an attempt to post script for redirection of site. As much as we try to offer a post and view convenience for all the FTZ users to enjoy instant view of the posted message(s) (and not approved-prior to-post method), we also seek your cooperation in making our life easier; this is a volunteered community site and please DON'T stress the few of us with so much more workloads. THANK YOU ALL.

Some of the FTZers are still not follwong the rules.. I saw some repetitive acts on posting same items without seeing any adjustment of prices on the follow up / subsequent post(S). Follow the rules. boys ! Repeat means price MUST reduce downwards.. I suggest the moderator can help to remove those .
