Dear Leofoo, I wish to express my gratitude to you for your love of the art, dedication of the time to compose one of the best sites I have seen. During the early 70's I had the privilege to have the use of a small photo lab in our military post when I was stationed in Darmstadt Germany. Their I got to "study and learn" under one of the relatives of a family called Rollo. I learned so much there, we had to use black an white because color was so expensive. >From bulk film rolling to darkroom to printing. So now after 30 years the kids are grown and I had a chance to buy a used set, a Nikon fe2, with a few lenses so I am back and thanks to your site, I know have been able to take a refresher. Not to mention all the info on the camera. I am not very computer savvy but I do enjoy "Taking pictures."
Once again Thank you
Jim Mucklin, Buffalo N.Y.

Hi, I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say that your site helped me out in understanding the basics of photography. I recently purchased a Digital camera that caters for beginner to amateur photographers so it has alot of manual settings and I had some idea of how they worked but wasn't 100% sure. I think the highlight of reading through you pages was when it dawned on me that although you are changing aperture and shutter speeds your exposure stays the same (yeah, I know it is a basic concept and logically obvious but I had never thought of it in those terms before.... haha ). Depth of field is still a bit strange but it seems to be quite subjective thing so I won't worry too much about that at the moment.
Thanks for the cool site, it was very helpful. All the best over the festive season. Tex
