I have just discovered your excellent Nikon user manuals. A lot of hard work has obviously been put in in creating these, for which you are to be congratulated. I found them particularly useful in deciding to buy either an FA or an FM2n and having read your manuals I chose the latter. Brillaint well done
Best regards

Hi all, you guys really did an excellent job in providing information, knowledge, and education about photography . I am 49 years old and I reside in Vancouver, Canada. I have never used a SLR camera in my life before. Recently I looked at the pictures taken from the point and shoot cameras during a family gatherings and I said to myself: I wish the image could be crisper and more "real" and "artful". I actually took the pictures from my new stainless steel "Canon" Guelph which I bought it for the convenience of its small size. It actually was not too bad, maybe I just keep wanting more. Anyway, I went through a lot of web surfing and I found your site. What a wonderful site with a wealth of information explained in a very friendly manner. I really enjoy it. I have bookmarked it and am sure I will keep coming back. I finally bought an old Cannon AE-1 Program for C$250.00 Canadian dollars from Buy and Sell Paper. This is a gamble because I really know nothing about SLR neve mind how to check it etc. I took it to a camera shop for clean up and the guy told me I need an overhaul and to replace the back cove seal. It cost me another C$100.00. It will be ready in about 2 weeks. The camera came with a standard 50mm and also a zoom lens 20-80mm, and also a dedicated flash, and a hard shell camera "box" made of vinyl and it keeps everything together. I am reading up on all the basics about taking photos, and thanks to people like you I am getting a lot of help. I just hope when I get the camera back from the shop it would be in good shape and I can start taking or learn to take good picture. Just wanted to drop you guys (gals) a note to say thank you. Keep up the good work.

Just a note of thanks. I baught an old Om2n camera at a second hand shop in Liverpool, at £80 a real bargain.
I searched hard, and your marvelous site was the best and gave me all the technical information I ever could have ever wanted - and far beyond any original instructions. - so much more insight also, and it saved me a lot of time, thanks very much. I take a lot of wildflower pictures- these old cameras fit that purpose superbly. You should know your hard work is appreciated, a real labour of love. There is a real romance somehow in the feel and quality of these old cameras, your site shows this, well done.
I work for Landlife an environmental group who have just opened a National Wildflower Centre on the edge of Liverpool, and good images of wildflowers are important for our work. if you are interested in wildflowers have a look
at our own web site. www.Landlife.org.UK.
best wishes- Richard Scott. 21 Elswick Street, Liverpool. -
