I have a F camera body and would like to fit the F36 motor drive. This requires drilling holes in the camera body. Books say that this is to be carried out by a technical person. Where can I obtain the modification instructions? Thanks

Does anyone knw what kind of battery to use in place of the old Mercury batteries? I have an FTn viewfinder and the only batteries I can find are lithium and I don't think they are powerful enough to push the meter. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Dear Lorraine : If I am not wrong, the eypiece diopter for the Nikon F2 can also be used on the Nikon F metered finder (check with Nikon first, just in case). It is very difficult to locate small accessories specifically mentioning for the Nikon F, but chances are higher when you quoteit is for the Nikon F2.

Dear NELL HAJART : Try www.craigcamera.com or www.manual2go.com for used or photocopies. But they are selling quite stiff prices (@USD8-25) a copy ). I am not sure what model is yours, but here is a manual for a Nikon FTn which you can safely used as a reference in this site (Except how to make use of the Metered finder): http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/manuals/nikonf/nikonfmanual/index.htm

I have a Nikon F2 Photomic with many different lenses. The last time I used it was about 10 years ago because my eyes have changed and I cannot focus it. According to my user book I can have a eyepiece made for it in my eyeglass prescription, however, none of the camera shops I've gone to seem to know anything about it. Does anyone know where these eyepieces can be made?

I need some advice. I'm off to the Sahara and I need a camera that can be stepped on by a camel, dropped in dunes, etc. Which is better the Nikon F or the Nikon F2. (Or can you think of any other cameras?) Thanks.

I have a photomic T and have the prism apart as I tried to get the meter going. I can do this but I am not just sure where to set the gear ring that engages the apeture setting. It has a split in the resistor ribbon which is the only way I see to set it but I don"t know where, any suggestions would be highly appreciated. My kudos to this web site I think it's wonderful.

Hey all, what a great site for Nikon owners. I though maybe someone would be intrested in a relay box I am going sell. I believe it is for the F36 and F250 motor drive(correct me if i am wrong) i know they are rare or hard to find. I just thought I would let all the Nikon owners which seem to be here know about it. I also have 5 exposure cassetes in leather cases for sale as well. Anyone intrested please feel free to email me.Thanks April
