I obtained a Nikon lens while in Japan, It is a manual focas 1000MM with threaded (screw on) mount. I'm looking for any information as to what camera body would me compatible with this lens.

This is a last-ditch attempt to find a FTn light meter for my Nikon F, body serial #7077775, bought in Tokyo probably in 1968 or 1969, with a great 43-86mm zoom (#472631). The camera and lens are in perfect shape, recently thoroughly cleaned. But NOWHERE can I find a replacement for the light meter. The coil burned out, I was told, and Nikon no longer makes them. I could buy a new Nikon (ah, but which? Can't spend a fortune!) and I could have the lens adapted to a newer lens mount -- maybe. Can anyone help, concerning the light meter and the lens adaptation? I really don't want to get rid of either, but the trail is getting pretty cold at this point.

Could someone please tell me if the 25mm wide-angle lens shown in the photo at my URL is missing the rear lens element? It's a Braun with a Nikon mount and all components work fine but when put onto my Nikon F the viewed image is a complete blur regardless of the position of the focus ring.

Thanks!

Apparently I have a rare Remopak for a Nikon F. The problem is that the points had corroded so I would like to get them fixed before I sell it. Any suggestions on who? Thanks for any help-Ron

well, this nikon f seems to last forever, and theres is no reason to belive that it will go under, execpt the meters which often seems to be the problem.
a light hand held meter is the answer to this, old Gossen or calculite is my favorite, and my question is>> can you use the nikkormats finders from the ftn series or another types ? is it possible to put on some other finders ? (sorry for asking silly)
..??>>>>>>>is there a chance???

Why are u complaining ? I will be more happy to buy that from you.... The Brown leather bag is VERY difficult to find now, beautifully made. I have owned one before where I bought from Hong Kong but stupidly sold it off to a Japanese friend and I CANNOT find it anymore. My local Nikon rep. said they may not have stock for it. I am from Pahlawan, Philippines. I don't like the black leather type.
