Some Selective Digital SLRs - Message Board/Guestbook |
Whether like it or not, owners of Digital Still SLR cameras have similar problems with computer users - the hardwares tend to phased out very rapidly & replaced with new models, while the ultimate goal of a full frame 35mm format with realistic prices, older models of Digicam may present some support issues - while I hope the creation of this Message Board provide some form of relief to exiting owners as well as those who may intend to invest into one of the used units as prices are more realistic as compared to many newer models. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Lastly, we can make use of this Board to learn from each other and share experience so as to improve our skill. As I don't have much time upkeeping as well as keeping up with so many new Digital SLRs that keep streaming up from the respective manufacturers; so, as for now, just treat this website as MIR's contribution to the Network for the photographic community. Lastly, please respect ownership of various brands and AVOID touching on sensitive topics (such as my brand is better than yours...). Enjoy. As this site is specifically created for this purpose - so, please don't mail me other than constructive suggestions or rectifying mistakes found in this site, thanking you. Hi, I had bought an NC 2000 and when I make pictures using an ATA flash card, i get an indication that it is making the picture and writing to the memory card.
But when i tried to insert the ATA falsh into my laptop, it deos not show up anything. But if i go to the properties, it shows that the memory on the ATA flash is used up by the number of pictures I make. But It doesnot show any file to open!! I tried to use ATA flash disks formatted with FAT 16 and 32. Ofcourse, with Fat 32 the camera does is not recognizing the ATA flash.
Can anyone help, please as to what is wrong?
Kind regards
Prasad

To Nikon or Not to
I am new to this field can anyone and I am a modeling photographer. tell that substituting Nikon Lenses (Yuck Costly~!) with Sigma or Tamron will work good. Or I am going to loose quality. I have a set old Nikon 200mm and 50 to 70 mm lens. Secondly in my opinion prime lenses deliver much better quality but Yuck~again they are costlier……….3. From : S.K.Sen (subhas12@vsnl.com)

hi, grateful if somebody could guide me on the following: nikonD50 vs nikon D70 dslr. whats the difference between these two sets? the difference in price is it due to the D50 body being more fragile? also, does the D50 have manual exposure control and can one set aperture numbers according to ones choice?
cheers and bi.....

I have a D2H Nikon Digital Camera, it seem the manual exposure works correcctly but using the P and A mode the camera over exposes and the preview as well as the final downloaded images is over exposed. How do I fix this, or have I got someting messed up in the settings?7. From : Peter (p.esteves@on.aibn.com)

I would like to know that I don't have the money to buy a digital SLR. I want to buy a digital camera with good manual controls. After lot of search, I felt Fuji Finepix 5500 is reasonably good. I would like to get an expert opinion from you, Sincere regards, Samrat9. From : Jim (angie666@aol.com)

I have a question. I have a Nikon D100 and I recently noticed spot that is on everyone of my photos. I cleaned all of my lennses well and cleaned the mirrors. I could not figure out where the spot was. It looked like hair or dust or something but I couldn't figure out where it was. I looked at it under a light and it appears that I have a scratch on one of the mirrors in the body. Does anyone know what I can do about that? Can I take it to a repair shop and get a new mirror or can it be buffed out or what? I have no clue what to do but I have a feeling it could be pretty expensive if I have to replace something. If anyone has any ideas please reply. Thanks a bunch.
