Whether like it or not, owners of Digital Still SLR cameras have similar problems with computer users - the hardwares tend to phased out very rapidly & replaced with new models, while the ultimate goal of a full frame 35mm format with realistic prices, older models of Digicam may present some support issues - while I hope the creation of this Message Board provide some form of relief to exiting owners as well as those who may intend to invest into one of the used units as prices are more realistic as compared to many newer models. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Lastly, we can make use of this Board to learn from each other and share experience so as to improve our skill. As I don't have much time upkeeping as well as keeping up with so many new Digital SLRs that keep streaming up from the respective manufacturers; so, as for now, just treat this website as MIR's contribution to the Network for the photographic community. Lastly, please respect ownership of various brands and AVOID touching on sensitive topics (such as my brand is better than yours...). Enjoy.As this site is specifically created for this purpose - so, please don't mail me other than constructive suggestions or rectifying mistakes found in this site, thanking you. I shoot with a Nikon D1-X. For a while now I have been getting little black spots on every image, but especially when I use a smaller aperture. I'm pretty sure its not my lenses and I can't figure out how? where? I can clean them up. my question is simple, how long will nikon produce the battery for D1 series (D1X for sure). currently i own one but i'm worry i can not use the camera in the future since digital camera is very depending on the batteries. When nikon decides to stop the production line for the batteries, it means the end for the usage of the D1 series.
Second question, while the D2 have different design for battery package, what makes nikon thinks the should change the package so they must make 2 different batteries. Such a waste in my opinion.

There could be few possibilities: But the hand sign is just a reminder for LOW LIGHT / HAND SHAKE / BLurry image warning. If you have been shooting plenty of shots indoor without flash - this could happen, just go a brighter spot and see if the sign will go away. But I would suggest you to check the ASA setting and see if you have set to low ASA 64 instead of AUTO (A way preferred if you are not familiar what ASA is). Next, check if you have set exposure mode whether it has been using Aperture priority (A) or Manual (M) and then see if the aperture has been set to big numbers (e.g. f11, f8 etc.) set to f3.5 and try again. Lastly, the camera has limitation (not just yours), when you shoot close-ups, always shoot within the limiattion. Sony has recently issued a firmware update for F828 at:http://www.sonydigital-link.com/DIME/firmware/F828/firmware.asp?l=en&c=usb, update your camera if you wish to (check the version no. first, follow the instruction to check version number). if you need a MANUAL for your F828, download a copy at:

I think it is a great resources for Nikon, Fuji and Kodak D-SLRs. However, the problem is I have just acquired my first digital camera a 8 megapixels Sony 828, I cannot seemed to focus correctly with the camera on various exposure modes (Inddor and all the shots are out-focus). A blinking hand signal appeared all the time which I have no idea what is it. Can anyone shed some light on this problem ?? I bought it used and have no instruction to clear this doubt. Thanks.9. Hi, I'm looking to sell a Fuji Digital DS 505A. It's an old demo camera that, believe it or not, it has never been used. I have all the cables and manuals. However, I don't have a memory card.
I'm looking to sell this camera and am wondering if there are any specifics sites, outside of eBay, where someone that actually is interested in the camera can buy it. Does anyone have a battery holder for a dcs 200? I have a lot of hard drives which might work on the dcs 200. Does the 200 appear as a hard drive on a mac? I have a powerbook 1400 with scsi input. But most I need battery and power supply. Thanks John Waterman
