Various Nikon camera models - Message Board/Gu
estbook

Since with the inception of Nippon Kogaku until the current Nikon Corporation - they were probably hundreds of camera models as well as million of Nikkor optics being sold thus far. It is very hard to satisfy everyone intention when each surfer coming to this Pictorial History Website (first created since 1997). Over the last few years, I have constructed quite a number of sites featuring a selective Nikon camera models (Nikon F(based on Mike Liu's previous effort, the Nikon F2 series, F3 Series, Nikon F4, NIkon F5, the digital SLR series as well as the midrange models such as Nikon FM series, FA, FE series, Nikkormat/Nikomat and the compact EM/FG/FG20 etc..). Each of these featured model has their respective Message Board to support specific owner of each camera types. However, there are a number of very good Nikon SLRs (as well as the film and/or Digital compacts wer quite exciting too. But due to various reasons, I cannot featured them one by one. This Message Board was created just for that purpose - to provide a gateway for those that were not being featured. You may use it for whatever you think suitable - questions & answers (Q&A) or just make good use of it to share experience among one another. The use of this section of the photography SITE is not confined soly for this purpose, you may also make use of it for other photographic matters. Some of the remarks presented within the pictorial history site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal of your equipment. You may make use of this convenience here to present your own views as well. Enjoy.

Digital: http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/companies/nikon/htmls/models/digitalSLRs/index.htm it will work with all AF Nikkor only a few areas in the AF/Metering. That is all. But there is no compatibility issue in basic nature.

I have a D70 Digital Nikon camera and I recently purchased a compact flash ultra 2.0 GB by Sand Disk. Unfortunately I was unable to format the compact flash card. My camera is one and half years old and is working fine with a Lexar Professional 80x. Do I have to reload the camera software from the internet and maybe this will work. Someone suggested this.

I am looking at buying a digital SLR camera and have at present a 19 year old Nikon F401 / N4004 QD with a number of AF Nikkor lenses.

My question is which digital SLR bodies will these lenses work on?

Thanks,

Don

I found a battery door for my EM,and downloaded the tech info on the camera.
A trip is upcoming so we'll see how it performs. I don't quite understand the issue that Nikon has with this informative site. I need a manual for my F2 and the EL. Thanks for all of the info that someone else would charge me dearly for.How can anyone become a good photographer when it costs $75.00 to find one answer? If someone is just starting out, it must be very difficult to try to make sense of all of the tech stuff. Thanks again for the wonderful site.

Hi Sylvia: For a fair value assessment, go to eBay and search for the F401X; then click on the "Completed sales" button to see a list. Only count the prices shown in green; the red numbers indicate items that did not sell. Click on each of the completed sales links and print out the pages and provide these to your insurance agent.

I am trying to get a value or a current equivalent model for my F401X that was dammaged on an airline flight :( The insurance company may cover replacement if I can come up with a value. It was my father's camera and is around 6-7 years old. Hope you can help,
