Modern Classic SLRs Series :
Various Nikon camera models - Message Board/Gu
estbook

Since with the inception of Nippon Kogaku until the current Nikon Corporation - they were probably hundreds of camera models as well as million of Nikkor optics being sold thus far. It is very hard to satisfy everyone intention when each surfer coming to this Pictorial History Website (first created since 1997). Over the last few years, I have constructed quite a number of sites featuring a selective Nikon camera models (Nikon F(based on Mike Liu's previous effort, the Nikon F2 series, F3 Series, Nikon F4, NIkon F5, the digital SLR series as well as the midrange models such as Nikon FM series, FA, FE series, Nikkormat/Nikomat and the compact EM/FG/FG20 etc..). Each of these featured model has their respective Message Board to support specific owner of each camera types. However, there are a number of very good Nikon SLRs (as well as the film and/or Digital compacts wer quite exciting too. But due to various reasons, I cannot featured them one by one. This Message Board was created just for that purpose - to provide a gateway for those that were not being featured. You may use it for whatever you think suitable - questions & answers (Q&A) or just make good use of it to share experience among one another. The use of this section of the photography SITE is not confined soly for this purpose, you may also make use of it for other photographic matters. Some of the remarks presented within the pictorial history site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal of your equipment. You may make use of this convenience here to present your own views as well. Enjoy.

The respective Message Boards are some of the HARDEST hit section of the PIM site, if at any one time, the traffic is high - the table/content may take a while to load the data, just be patience. If it stalls, just click on the 'Reload' or 'Refresh' button on your browser menu once to re-attempt. Thank you.

I currently am using a Nikon N8008 and I was trying to take pictures of lightning the other day (night) but none of them came out. What settings would I have to use in order to get a good lightning-shot? I currently use plain, ol' Kodak 400 film but I'm looking for something better (any suggestions about that either?)

Thanks,
~Devin

I recently shot a roll of B & W film (Efke KB 50 135/36) that says it had 36 exposures. However, when I got to 24 on the camera, it wouldn't advance any further. Is there an adjustment I need to make on my Nikon FG to let it shoot the whole roll?

Thanks

Hi Andre: The SB-23 should be usable on the EM, but the EM does not support TTL flash control. I would choose either the SB-E or a generic non-dedicated flash for the EM.

Can you tell me if the Nikon EM camera and the Nikon SB-23 flash are compatible, especially if the flash is in TTL mode. Thanks André

Hi Doug: Here's a link to a PDF of the manual:

Nikonos II Manual

The Nikonos body is held together BY THE LENS. You have to remove the lens first, then the inner body comes out by pulling it up out of the shell. You can either use the little levers on the neck strap to get it started, or reach in the open lens mount and push upward on the inside. The viewfinder and top deck are part of the inner section that comes up out of the rest of the body. Before putting it back together, apply a little silicone grease to the big O-ring just below the top deck (and the one on the lens mount) and make sure everything is very clean.

i have recently come across a Nikonos II camera, and was wondering where to find an Owners Manual for it. I pretty much have the basic operation figured out, but can't seem to open it for film loading or removal. Suggestions anyone?
