Since with the inception of Nippon Kogaku until the current Nikon Corporation - they were probably hundreds of camera models as well as million of Nikkor optics being sold thus far. It is very hard to satisfy everyone intention when each surfer coming to this Pictorial History Website (first created since 1997). Over the last few years, I have constructed quite a number of sites featuring a selective Nikon camera models (Nikon F(based on Mike Liu's previous effort, the Nikon F2 series, F3 Series, Nikon F4, NIkon F5, the digital SLR series as well as the midrange models such as Nikon FM series, FA, FE series, Nikkormat/Nikomat and the compact EM/FG/FG20 etc..). Each of these featured model has their respective Message Board to support specific owner of each camera types. However, there are a number of very good Nikon SLRs (as well as the film and/or Digital compacts wer quite exciting too. But due to various reasons, I cannot featured them one by one. This Message Board was created just for that purpose - to provide a gateway for those that were not being featured. You may use it for whatever you think suitable - questions & answers (Q&A) or just make good use of it to share experience among one another. The use of this section of the photography SITE is not confined soly for this purpose, you may also make use of it for other photographic matters. Some of the remarks presented within the pictorial history site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal of your equipment. You may make use of this convenience here to present your own views as well. Enjoy.

I just noticed that my Nikon EM shutter was getting stuck. Has this happened to anyone? If you took it to a repair shop, how much, approximately did you have to pay to get it fixed?

I have my grandfaters Nikon camera, not sure what kind it is if anyone could help me I would appreciate. It is a Nikon camers and the lens says on it... 1:14 f=15cm Nippon Kogaku Japan No.374937 Nikkor S.C It is in a Leather case that screws onto the camera and snaps over the lens. I also have what I think is a light meater.

I would appreciate any info on the camera. I would also like to know if there is a way I can get directions on how to use. as I would love to take picts of my kids with it.

Sorry. I am not awared Nikon has changed the web location (URL) for the various PDF files on each of the specific manual. I have patched most of them but cannot link individually now. You have to go to the site, click on the link I provided and seek the actual model from the drop down menu to downlad the PDF instruction manual. It works now for the F100. Just go back to this page http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/companies/nikon/htmls/models/htmls/slr9698a.htm#f100 locate the Nikon F100 and the insruction manual link is there. I am not sure in the future will the URL be changed again, so, download while it is still there now. Enjoy.

I have seen this question before (+ answer) before. Just type "F401" on the forum search box above this line and you should be able to find the answer for the guide and howto on instruction manual download for the Nikon F401s(x). Actually, it is a good pratice to do when you have a simple question like this nature.

Hi Doc: I can't think of anything quick and easy. Does it do this even in the dark, regardless of the lens aperture set (I'm guessing it does, by your question)? It might be possible for a short in the meter circuit to cause something like this, though most electrical failures would be more likely to send the needle to the bottom rather than the top. You said the beeper works: does it still work a few days later, or does the battery die quickly? One last question: does the shutter speed seem to match the 1/1000+ indicated speed, or if you trip it in the dark do you get a longer open time? I imagine this is not going to be a do-it-yourself fix..... rick
