On the new canon F-1 the battery it uses is the standard 6v battery. On the newer version of the old F-1 the 1.3v vs the 1.5v is an issue and does effect the light meter. My advice- look online for a good voltage converter that screws into the bottom of the camera. You put a 1.5v in the converter- it delivers 1.3v continuous to your camera- for a while these were unreliable but technology always gets better and the past two I've used have worked perfectly. Good luck Josh

Subject: EE Servo Finder for Canon F1 'old' I have a question that I hope you can help me with. I have just purchased an EE servo finder on eBay. However, it doesn't come with the battery pack. My questions: 1. Where is the best place to can find the battery pack for it? 2. Can I use an AC adapter that produces 12V to try out the servo finder. Thank you for your advice.

Ioni, Try www.keh.com. They have them both listed. I've orderded from them and was very satisfied with theis service. They are not cheap though. BTW I live in Europe and this is no problem for them. It was for local customs so I had to pay a small import fee. Good luck Norbert

Hi. I am a photographer living in Switzerland. A few days ago my Canon F1 started to have a problem with the shutter. Something wrong with the shutter break. I cannot find anyone to repair my camera, as Canon does not produce parts for it anymore. Please help if you know any usefull hint. Where can I get it repaired???? thank you.

I also have a problem with the Booster T Finder, which I've never used. I mounted it on the F1, but the range of settings for the various ASA film speeds seem to be 3 full stops out of adjustment. For example, at 25 ASA the longest shutter speed is 8 secs and the change over point from booster to camera happens at1/4 sec. Similar values at 100 ASA are 3 secs - 1/15 secs. Checking the instruction manual, these should be the settings for 200 ASA and 800 ASA respectively. When set at 25 ASA, 8 secs is the longest shutter speed obtainable - it's not possible to go to 60 secs.

I would appreciate any advice from someone who knows the Booster T Finder. I suspect that the previous owner has been tinkering - and removed the speed dial, replacing it in the wrong position . Is it possible to do this and is it a simple job to remove the speed dial and correct the problem?

Hi, I'm looking for a Canon Battery Case + 12v. magazine (8 pen cells) for the Canon F1. If anyone has one for sale plus other F1 items, I would be grateful if you would contact me with the details.
