I have a Conon New F-1 and have a slight problem. The shutter fails to release when the camera is set to shutter priority mode, when the A index is set. When in manual mode evrything is fine. Any comments? Thanks.

I have an F1High Speed. Did Canon make a bottom plate to cover openings created by removal of the motor drive?

Thank you for providing such an informative site. I have had my F-1 since it was new in 1975 and have found finding accessories difficult. I had also forgotten the names of some of the accessories, which made looking for them difficult. I still use it every week.

I have just discovered this web site.

I have an F1n with AE power winder.

Unfortunately my grandson knocked the camera over.

The film winder is bent and the battery compartment cover on the pwer winder is damaged.

Can anyone recommend a repair specialist in the USA, hopefully in Florida.

Ride safe

Barry

This site is a gift from heaven. It would be better if someone could tell me of a store in western pennsylvania that I could buy the 1.3v battery I need for the F1 I bought in Japan in 1972.

Two Questions:

1. I have an A-1 with the "Squeek". Is it safe to use without repairing?

2. I have a Canon 500M lense that is fixed at F/8. The lense registers at 5.6. I typically go into aperture mode and override the setting. Is there a way to have lense register correctly to the camera - or does the lense simple lack the registration information to identify it as a fixed F/8 lense to the camera?

Thanks
