Has 50mm, 70-210mm Zoom, 28mm lens all original Nikon/Nikkor lens, also has motor drive. Haste to sell, but will be sold only to genuine Photographers only. Its still in mint condition. You may email me at chacko@gracetown.net Regards Chacko

My son recently purchased a Nikon F3 (hp)I assume this is the model number;1894721? I loved to take photos but have never owned a Nikon so I haven't got a clue. The camera did not come with an owner's manual so I am totally lost as to how to use it. Could you advise me as to where I may be able to purchase a manual? Sue, Las Vegas

No. But within the focusing series (22 standard + a few S-edition), the G2 and in particular, H2 series provide a very bright view with most Nikkors. However, these screens do not always work with all lenses comfortably, for an example, the H2 is very difficult to focus with 500mm & 1000mm Reflex-Nikkor..). Except for its top sync-speed, the F3 is a very lovely and reliable SLR to use, simple and easy to handle for photographers that knows how to shot. Its main strength is, the camera is very modular and you can custom setup your camera for different kind of photograhic assignments. Besides, there are probably tons of system accessories built around the camera for you to configure your needs. The FM3A is, if you need an all round rigid body that accepts the Nikkors and often play a lot of synchro-sunlight stuffs, that is it for you ! Both bodies serves different categories of users, I think.

hi there,
one question: is the viewfinder of the F3/T as bright as the one in the new FM3A? i´ve been using the FM3A for almost 3 years now, and i´m extremely happy with it. it never let me down, took through rain, snow and sand, and once it even fell into water - luckyly the shutter curtains didn`t get wet. it still worked after that in mechanical mode, and when it dried out also the A mode worked again. that`s reliability! but ok, that`s not the issue here. i want another body, and i`m very keen on the viewfinder of the F3 HP (i just want the tian version for the fun of it!), but if the focusing screen is not as bright as the one in the FM3A and as i`m actually quit satisfied with that model, i´ll just go for another FM3A. has anyone worked with both cameras and can help me out? no need to pay the extra money, if the FM3A serves me better..

much thanx in advance,
heine

I have purchased a Nikon F3 HP recently and the meter is not functioning right! The meter stays at M- all the time regardless of the fstop. There is no darkening or lightning when I turn my fstop to a different setting. Is it broken or am I not operating the camera properly? The lens is in perfect condition and is a 50mm! Help me please.....

Hi. I've recently purchased a F3HP camera. Unfortunately, the first film developed showed it has some problems with the light meter: the negatives were too dark. Comaring with my old F3 I found out that the meter in the new camera gives 2 stops more, compared to the old one. How can I adjust the meter?

P.S. I want to ajdust the meter, not compensate via ISO settings. Thanks.

Dear Joe: Just go back to the main index page, there is a Swedish link at the bottom section that probably can help you identity production date of your Nikon F3.
