Hi. I am missing the rubber grip around the shutter speed dial. Does anyone know where I might find a replacement? Thank you.

I purchased friday a second trigger accessorie called MR3 for my MD4 motor drive. It works but I'm very surprised because it does not launch the lightmeter till the exposure has been taken. For example, in total darkness, it fires at a speed shorter than 1 second....... When the lightmeter is on before firing( by triggering the main button of the MD4 )everything goes well with the MR3.I do not remember having such problem in the past with another MR3 and a motor drive MD 12. Does anyone has an idea of the nature of the problem?I have this MD4 since ten years at least and never used the location of the MR3 before.....Thanks

Folks, A nikon F3hp question... I recently purchased an F3hp (newer model # 197####) the film advance lever just remains cocked forward when i advance it rather than springing back like my older F3... i wonder if the mechanism needs adjustment or is broken? i have an old MD-4 motor drive attached to this F3 and it seems to work perfectly... i shall receive a roll of film i shot thru it next week and at least determine if the thing takes pictures. as long as everything works fine and i keep the motor drive attached, as i intend to, i wonder if this lever advance defect can simply be overlooked. thanks for any illumination. marc

I have an F3 HP. Recently I purchased a 35mm 3.5 PC nikkor lens, Probably from 1967. I am unable to rotate the lens 360° since the shift knob hits againt the viewinder on the top. Has anyone resolved this problem? Is there a ring for the lens that or something that extends it away from the body? thanks

To KC: If the 'flash ready' lamp blinks on the FE2 with the SB-16B, it may have several reasons: 1) unsufficient lock or contacting between flash foot and camera hotshoe; 2) film speed set on camera a n d flash out of range (25 to 400 ISO, w i t h o u t exposure compensation); 3) exposure time faster than 1/250 sec. To Sean: Fill-in flash with the F3: 1) set exposure time to 1/80 s or slower; 2) meter the background, not the subject, with the fash unit switched off, so that the light meter works; 3) set the aperture which is ok. for the selected exposure time; 4) control whether subject is within the right distance (see scale on SB-17); 5) switch on flash, frame the subject, and fire.
Note that for TTL flash on the F3, film speed must be within 25 and 400 ISO (without exposure compensation).
Rgds. Hermann

I spent the night out in the mist in portugal which I would think was a tolerable situation for my F3 as I am sure that journalists have packed one in worse but the batteries short out and I cant get the camera to work and I am wondering if anyone knows what do to or who can fix the camera reasonably. I live in St. Louis but will ship the camera if necessary.
