I am reparing a damaged F3 and am in need of a replacement high eyepoint (DE-3?) viewfinder. Looks like the old one got squashed and no longer transmits the lcd image well. :( It is labelled Nikon HP (in little letter below and right of "Nikon".

Thanks much. Joe 303 543-9960 Boulder, CO USA

I haven't used my F3 for about seven years. I replaced the batteries and had it cleaned. However, no matter the shutter speed setting, the number indicated in the viewer reads "M 80" .

It seems to me that this happeded periodically years ago and there was some way to get rid of the "M 80" and view the desired setting, but I can't remember how.

Any help?

I have not used my Nikon F3 for some time. I removed the old batteries, cleaned the internal contact, and installed new batteries. I turned the power-on switch, exposing the red dot. Nothing happens. No LCD display, nothing. I can use the backup mechanical release, but that's all. The camera is in perfect physical shape. Any thoughts?

I have a Nikon F3 and am interested in buying new lenses for it. Will said lenses also work on a digital Nikon?

LCD of my F3 shows only -860, whereever I position my speed dialer, I posted this question in the online technical support site, and got a reply to claim it is caused by main CPU broken, does anyone in this forum ever face the same problem? and any comments?

Hi Jeroen,
I assuming you have the MD4 attached to the camera right? If so, try to reset the film counter on the motordrive to the red dot. If you don't have the MD attached and have the problems you described~~I suggest you take it to a repair shop and let em' check it out!
Cheers!!
Best regards,
Kirk C.

Hi Mike, Probably you like to look on ebay for the battery holder, I think an nicad recharge battery w/ charger comes in good price also. In my past experience, some MD-4 does have problems, but 1st thing you have to make sure you are not using 99cents bargain bin battaries; and if you detachhed the finder, camera body, motor drive..make sure you put them back together right. Hope all these help!! Best regards, Kirk C.
