I just bought a Cannon FD 50mm 1:3.5 Macro lense with an additional FD25 extension tube. I haven't received it from the sellor yet. I paid $25.00 for both. I hope to be able to take close up pictures of my gun collection, etc. Did I do good and does anyone have any suggestions whether I have gone the right direction. I have a Cannon AE1.
Thanks, Don

Hi fellow New F-1 users ! You may have noticed that messages are slower reaching the board than they used to be. This is because all messages are now being screened before posting to keep spam off of the boards. Please be patient, you message will appear (unless it's an ad for drugs or porn sites)........

Throuh my F1's "Eye Level Finder" I cnnot see the meter
and cannot figure out if the problem is the camera or the finder. Hopefully one of you people could help.
It was working perfectly and in the process
of showing my daughter how to use it for her
first school photography class my "hierloom" has broken down.

Looking for a great F-1 repair person.
Prefer someone who has worked for Canon in the past or retired.
Used to use A Ken Oikawa to do my repairs, but I have lost him.
He used to live in Glendora, CA.
Any suggestions, or names would be appreciated.
Phil

Hi! I have two simple questions: 1) What was the last year of production for the F1N? 2) And the last year with official sales of the F1N? Thanks!

Hi. I own a New F-1 which has been working perfect, I acquired a Motor Drive FN from ebay some time after that, however; the motor drives AE-circuitry doesn't work. when shooting in AE mode the camera always stops down to the smallest aperture, indifferent of the lighting situation. I know it's the motor drive because the AE works when the camera is coupled to the Power Winder. I was wondering if there is anyone that has encountered this before and knows how to fix it, if it can be fixed. Thanks! Bengt
