Hi F1 fans, this is just to let you know that I got the match-needle display problem solved. Match-needle display was not visible on right side in the finder, because something blocked the light coming from the small milky window on top of the body next to the rewind knob. I have a good repair company in my home town Dortmund, Germany. I used them already for some fixes on lenses and A-1 body. This little something has been removed and now I see the match-needle clearly. Repair cost was about 100 US$, including cleaning, new foam at the hinge and test. Thanks to all who contributed to my search regarding this matter and good luck and good light for your F1 equipment ! Andreas4. From : Richard Bowering (richard.bowering@nottscc.gov.uk)

Hi, I have a Canon F1 Motor drive unit in mint condition including the external battery compartment to fit on the belt. I'm looking for the battery compartment (D) that slides on the clip underneath the drive. If anyone can supply this item then I will be very interested. Many thanks Rich5. A couple of us here are trying to work out some of the details in the production of the Canon 35mm f2.8 Tilt & Shift lens and would appreciate any serial numbers and build codes you might be able to provide us. You can post them here or email them direct to me. If your worried about giving out your serial numbers just us X's for the last number or if your really paranoid the last two! The serial number is found on the under side of the aperture ring (look from the rear) The build code (which may be rubbed off) is in black ink stamped on the rear of the mounting ring. THANKS for any help you can provide. Mark W.8. From : Co-maintainer (kakaman_mailwillbounce@mir.com.my)

Hi, I recently obtained an early F1 with motor winder - but I do not have the original camera base plate that is removed when the winder is positioned. Could anyone advise where I might be able to obtain one at a reasonable price? Thanks for your help. KPS10. Well I finally did it. I put my beloved Olympic Edition F-1n up on eBay. I would have never guessed that I would have done that. But unfortunately, times change and so do cameras. Does anyone know how many of the 84 Olympic edition cameras were produced? Dave
