I recently picked up a used F-1N (S/N#177xxx). I was told by a friend that if I can find a "screw-in type cable for shutter release" that it should work. He claims they're all pretty much standard for the most part. Is this true? It screws on to the button, but doesn't work. The cable itself does it's job, and the button works, but it appears that there is no separation between the outer button and whatever is inside it that the cable should be pushing into. Any pointers on where I should go with this? Thanks in advance.

Hi Folks, When I shoot in full manual exposure mode with my F1n with AE Finder (no motor drive or winder), the shutter release seems to work intermittently. In aperture priority mode, however, everything works fine. Perhaps there is a problem with the electromagnetic shutter release? Does anyone have any experience with this problem? Thanks!

Hi, I am looking for the Canon Speedlite 577G instruction manual. Will anybody help me to locate one. I won't mind if it is not the original. Thanks

Correction to my last post. My A-1 cannot be set to a SS of 1/20. The 1/20 SS is only available in aperture priority mode. Sorry if I confused things. TomR.

Franz, I don't shoot with an F-1, but both my A-1 & T-90 have a 1/20 shutter speed to correspond to a 1/2 f/stop aperture change. Certain shutter speeds on the F-1 may not be marked only because of the limited space to engrave the markings. TomR.

I can't find an extra click stop between 30 and 15 but I noticed a little resistance between the two. I would venture to say it is a way to warn the photographer know that the shutter speed is to slow for hand held photography.

Hello, I have a FL-F 300mm F5.6 Fluorite lens which looks and functions as new with case. I may have to sell it to pay some medical bills. What is this lens worth? Is anyone outhere interested in purchasing it? I will have photos of that can be e-mailed soon. Thank You. Mike
