Hello Everybody, I'm new to this site and I hope that the usage of the message board goes up a bit!!! I have been using a F-1N since 1993 and it been great. Before that I had a AE-1, which I bought new and used it until it died about 15 years later. I also have a AE-1P as a back-up. I bought the F-1 becuse I thought that it would last me a lifetime, but now I'm having problems. I have seen past messages specifying the dame problems, but noone replied. I'll give it a shot and see if this site if worth anything (I'm happy to share my experiences anytime and I have some original F-1N material from a photoshop to help me). My 10-year old F-1N now seems to have a problem at low temperatures - the shutter sticks or even completely dies. I had the camera lubricated and it didn't help. I'm ready to send it into the CANON shop. Has anyone done that before and did it resolve the problem AND how much did it cost? Now I also bought a very nice F-1N on ebay but it seems to have a similar problem: The shutter works fine but gets worse (slower) and worse until after (3) releases it locks up. It then only reacts when I tap the camera? It's been a great camera but I'm starting to lose my faith! I'd love a response. Happy Shooting

Hi, I have used this camera for about two years with its 50mm f1:1.4 lens that came with it; and all I can say about this camera is that it is THE CAMERA for a beginner - amateur - professional. I have a Nikon F3 as well, but seriously, i always got to the Canon when i didnt want any hassles! And the best part, it takes a lot of crap! I misused it, my friends misused it.. and it took it all with a smile... I LOVE THIS CAMERA..

I'm looking for a sensor unit G100 for the Canon Speedlite 533G flash unit. Anybody know where I might be able to find one?

On the F-1N with the stuck winder have you checked to see if you have film in it? I would press the release button and see if you can rewind the film if it has film in it or if no film then by pushing the release will it allow you to finish th winding stroke? Has the shutter button been locked? Do you have a AE winder FN on this camer has it reached the end of the count down exposure counter? try a new battery, I know this camera has a mechanical default but not if there is a battery in the compartment even if it is dead try taking it out and see if you can finish winding it. If none of these suggestions help I see a reapir shop in your future.
