Original Canon F-1 users...anyone know where I can find a supply of diopters to fit my Canon F-1n bodies...I have three. I need the +1.5 power diopters, I have the +1.0 on them now. I'd appreciate any help locating them as it will save my system and the last years of my career. Thanks. JL2. From : Kelvin (speedy999@netzero.net)

I ruined my original focusing screen for the Canon AE1 Program. Does anyone know the new F1 Split/Microprism will fit in Canon AE1 Program or not? Thanks3. From : Tim (the_wongs@hotmail.com)

Hi everyone. I recently stumbled onto this site and it's great. I found a nice AE Finder FN in a second hand store that looks great. It has one problem. It's missing the plastic piece that lets the light in for the lower finder display. There's just a hole there. The cost is low ($90). Does anyone know if I'll have any problems with it in the future? Should I pass on this finder? Thanks, Tim4. Canon most likely left out the mirror lockup on the new F1 to save money. None of the other A series cameras had it either and there are design similarities with the F-1N. Another reason is that the body is quite full - the auto aperture servo is in the winder/motor drive as there is no room left in the camera itself. BTW, there's a real mechanical marvel in there to switch the camera to manual when the battery has been removed. I suppose the engineers felt quite justfied in doing so as the mirror damping in the F-1N is (IMHO) the best of any Canon FD SLR. I have a T90 as well and the T90 is noisier and I feel the images it produces suffer from slightly more vibration than the F-1N. When I do landscape work requiring crisper results I use the F-1N. Cheers, Duane
