Hello everyone. I recently purchased a New F-1 with a motor drive. The camera is in mint condition and I am very pleased with my purchase. I'm looking for a couple of things for my camera and lens outfit and I'm hoping someone here can help. I'm looking for the rubber eyecup for a New F-1, I only have the rubber ring. I am also looking for a tripod mounting collar for a Canon FD 300mm f4.0 telephoto lens. The lens was purchased with out the collar. At some point I would also like to get an AE finder for my F-1. If anyone has a lead on one in good condition I would appreciate the info. Thanks.2. From : Tom Kessler (T70ssrs@aol.com)

Hello Dave,
I don't know where to find equipment in the
seattle are, but recommend you contact KEH camera brokers in Atlanta, Georgia. Their reputable, and have a fair return policy if you aren't satisfied with your purchases. They have a website at www.keh.com. They typically have a good variety of lenses available. Good luck.

Hi,
I just got a Canon F1 New Standard (manual) after having used the old F1 for years. I have found this site to be extremely useful in regard to both cameras. However,I have a question about the depth-of-field slider when using the FD series lenses on this New F1. Can the slide be released and left in the released position while stopping down the lens and releasing the shutter, or do you have to push it back in immediately after checking the depth-of-field? Hoping someone can help. Thanks, Victor

I have 2 F1N's and am having some difficulty with one that I purchased new I believe it was 1984. What happens is that the meter needle sometimes sticks at the bottom of the viewfinder when trying to get a meter reading and will free up if the lens is pointed toward a stronger light source. I took this body out a couple of weeks ago on a hike into the woods and after about a hour and maybe 8 to 10 shots, the problem surfaced. Seems to be temperature related. Get's a little warm, bingo. Anybody have any hints on how to fix? Anyone know of an experienced F1N repair person in the New York area? There must be several in NYC but I personally don't know any. Point me in the right direction if you can. THIS IS A GREAT SITE! GLAD I FOUND IT!!7. From : Michael So (mikeso11@home.com)

I think you should go to Ebay to sell your equipments. Anyway, there is actually a site which I have done a few smaller deals at this malaysian site, check here: http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/ftz/index.php3 Not bad, much easier than Ebay and it is free and you can ask for prices or quote too.9.
